First post on here but just after a little advice, I've just recently gotten back into fishing and purchased a Advanta Protector Extreme 1 Man Bivvy, Model 1 Man Bivvy. Mainly bought for day fishing as I just don't like a brolly, the question is after just putting it up for the first time in the garden before I take it out I noticed the back of my chair slightly touches the top of the bivvy itself is this going to mean in the rain I get wet ?

any tent , you want to avoid that. however that bivvy is 130cm high. you should be able to arrange your chair so it doesn't touch the sides.

Just put it so it doesn't touch, after all you've bought something which is much ant for people to put a bed in which is a lot bigger...

Yeah I can right in the middle but the top cushion just touches it slightly, the main question here really is is the bivvy going to leak if it's touched from the inside or will it still stay water proof and not leak.

What chair is it? As I've never seen anything that wouldn't fit into a bivvy without touching Unless you've bought a bivvy designed for a midget..
But no it shouldnt leak, that more for old twin skin tents etc from back in the day before materials improved to what they are today

It's not forcing on the bivvy itself it just ever so slightly touches it which I was concerned about as I don't want to be sat there getting dropped on because of it

Sorry but that makes no sense at all, it's a chair and a bivvy, the chair should sit inside the bivvy with miles of space without touching anywhere. Are you sure you've set the bivvy up properly?

Yeah the video is the same bivvy, and yeah it has the tension bars which were adjusted corrected to pull

How much do I make it shorter though, I get what your saying now in terms of bringing it closer will make the bivvy higher
