One of the Lakes i fish fairly regularly is quite shallow and has a problem with large amounts of Tufties which are frequently from first light until dark diving on your spots and causing general mayhem.
Someone mentioned to me that a laser pen can act as a deterrent.
Has anyone else found this to be effective or not?

Purchased one a few months ago solely for the eye of an unsuspecting thief who may fancy trying fcuk my shed over. Oh, and for deserts a lovely pickaxe handle.....

If you ever suffer with migraine headaches you should be careful with those things, had a mate who had terrible ones after using his laser pen.

Expensive I know but j brought a tufty torch works really well during the day best £45 I've ever spent unfortunately the shop j brought it from has closed down but think they are available on ebay

Worth every penny mate it's a big red laser i think it's called creed scares all birds apart from swans and seagulls.worth every penny in my opinion also last for hours.

Ive got quite a powerful green laser pen, which only seems to work well on ducks, used it on coots last week and they ignored it

I found with laser pens they really only work at night or low level light this thing works in sunny conditions. I was very sceptical at first when I brought it but was so surprised how well it worked. You do get the odd coot that doesnt give a monkey's

I've just bought a tufty torch and to be honest I think it's well over priced!!! A cheap green laser pen is just as good
