Hi, has anyone here had any experience of these alarms, they are very cheap but have a tackle box lifetime guarantee.
The Tackle Box have a good reputation do I can't see them selling rubbish with their name on it. Opinions please.

They are cheap and chinese. You will find dozens of other eBay sellers with the same alarms. Stick with the big 5 and you won't have to lay out more money in the long run.
If you are worried about budget, you can pick up 3 second hand MK1 Micron M's for around 60 quid, and they will actually last.

Can't agree. The Tackle Box are a quality outfit. I'd buy their budget range buzzers backed by their lifetime guarantee. If anything goes pop their backup and customer service is first rate. Buying second hand, sight unseen in the budget end of the market is far more risky.

The Tackle Box doesn't manufacture them. Quality outfit or not, the alarms are mass produced and pumped out in a little presentation box, sometimes they throw in some moody knock off illuminated swingers too depending on which ebay online tackle shop you buy them from. I could show you over a dozen websites selling the same alarm with a different badge. If any of them last 20 years like the Micron M's can, i'd be amazed.
Oh, that reminds me, TFG sells the same alarms. Despite my warnings my old man laid out over a ton for them and they lasted six months. Same with the Pro logic ones. Buy cheap, buy twice.

I agree they are cheap Chinese alarms but if they, we're that bad I don't see the tackle box doing a lifetime garauntee.
Obviously there are better out there but they are proper cheap.

We all know they are cheap Chinese alarms. The guy wants cheaper end stuff. The point being they are guaranteed and supported by a quality retailer with a good record for customer support. You won't get that on ebay for the price new or secondhand.
All this garbage about China And other Asian manufacturers is getting really old. Lots of us out here buy what we can afford and pay the price we choose. I am not paying hundreds of pounds for something that goes beep. I'm not paying £600 a piece for reels that perform no better than a reel a third the price. £150-250 plus for a landing net. Haaaahaaaahhhaaaa it mad I tell you. MAD

I bought some identical ones off eBay for using on a dodgy park lake a couple of years back, take plenty off batteries, but they do the job and if they have the tackle box warranty and your on a budget they'll be fine

Let's be fair, you don't have to know how to use it to catch carp these days. A (good) photo album can be a reflection of the waters you can buy into. Fishing in carp soup is not difficult.

An album full of bloated pellet reared **** pigs stocked at 20lb+ and a ‘good‘ album are not the same thing
Though I agree money can buy you a better chance of higher brow carp as owners know what their stocks are worth regarding tickets.
I'm sure these TB alarms do the job as they wouldn't want to put their name to rubbish; but you get what you pay for in terms of features, range, battery life and cough cough aesthetics.
I'm sure they'd tell you the same or they wouldn't stock the higher price alternatives
