I have just received my Cobb Premier Air and I wonder if someone who has already got one can tell me if their vents in the lid can be fully closed. In the closed position on mine, there is still a small opening. Is this right?

Just finished cooking a few burgers and sausages. Pleased with the results and used about a quarter of the charcoal I would have used on my main BBQ.

Cooked for 4 hours at constant 250ยบ on 4 briquettes on my Premier. Started to lose heat after 4hrs 30mins quite quickly though.

Please excuse the intrusion chaps ....recently got a Cobb and was wondering which thermometers are recommended to stop me taking the lid off too much....?? Thanks in advance

you can buy it in loads of places but prices vary dramatically I Got mine here some time ago its the nuts
but prices vary so pays to shop around LINKY POO 
I cant wait until June when Im back on the bank I bought the Cobb Kettle and a 1litre flask so it boils the water for the flask while it helps to light the Cobb much faster
you can also use a the right size kelly kettle too by the time the kettle has boiled to fill a i litre flask its ready to cook on

I am on a BBQ group and a lot of people recommend inkbird which you can buy from Amazon

How big are these things to lug about? I only fish single nights, are they practical for this or do you guys just use them on sessions? Do they add a lot of weight to your barrow push?
