Any recommendations? Was reading Gerrys thread on bedchairs and gotta add that for me, the Avid Benchmark has made my nights sleep on the bank so much better, although it's not the lightest at 12kg. Not sure how comfortable the Benchmark Lite would be in comparison, can anybody give any views on that?
Anyway, I digress. My bed is lovely and firm, so is great to sit on in comparison to any other bed I've had, but I would like to hear people's recommendations on buddy's to support lower back when sitting for longer periods. I'm after one as compact as possible, so not really bothered about it having front legs to double up as a guest chair, but interested to hear all the pros and cons of all varieties.

Hi Mate .
I put a brief review of the Fox Duralite Combo Chair in the reviews section.
Used it a few times now and no complaints , Personally a great piece of kit and very light .

The nash one is good and you can fold the bedchair up with it sill across the frame of the bedchair

the lightest one that I have found
with the very important ability to adjust the back angle and wide enough to span the bed is
the TF GEAR CHILLOUT - BED MATE thats the same as the Daiwa Mission Bedchair Back Rest but cheaper

Sorry probably a Stupid question but do these damage your bed in anyway? Mainly your bag? Iv looked at buying one acouple of times buy always put my self off. I just take my normal chair so have to squeeze it in the bivvy in bed weather

Found bedchair buddy's awful so opted for a proper chair with headrest which is far better IMO......

I have been using one for years and years and its never done any harm what so ever to my bag or bed
and I use mine a lot every time its raining or freezing cold etc tried a few different ones some shockingly bad the ones that dont span the full width of the bedchair are pointless and as I said earlier I think the back rake needs to be adjustable

I bought the TFG one after reading Gerry's recommendation, brilliant bit of kit and I use it every night now, so much more comfortable than sitting on the bed.

I've got a Q-dos one for about 25 quid. Been using it for about 4 years. I would not go fishing without it, it makes sitting on your bed so much more comfortable it's untrue and I've got a flatliter which is firm bedchair. My mates been an angler for over 20 years, never owned a buddy, tried mine and went and bought one straight away. If you get one you won't regret it.

I bought angling direct advanta one. I bought one with an adjustable back. (Cant see it anymore on their web site) Been great.

I tend to use my original Nash Bed Buddy I bought years ago when they released the original Indulgence range of bedchairs. I did buy a second one for the wife to use in a second hand Trakker with adjustable back which cost me £20 from memory.
Another option is if you already have a guest chair, fold the rear legs up & place the chair on the bed with the front legs extended. I have done this in the past with a Fox R2 chair with no problems. Obviously if weight is a consideration, this is probably best done on longer sessions.
