Hello carp hunters,

Can anyone please tell me the dosage of the Profile Plus flavors by Mainline in a regular boilie (not hookbaits)? I have searched the internet and it's nowhere to be found.

Thanks!

Really surprised at that as it does sound a lot.

I've only ever used mainline condensed milk flavour and it smelled pokey to me, used 3ml to 6 large eggs albeit with a couple of other low level additives. The 3ml was more than enough.

Yeah i've got a bottle of the sweet plum profile plus and it says 5ml per 500g (so 10ml per kg). However as i use it in conjunction with the multi stim which is very sweet anyway, i think (without finding and referring to my notes) that i've been using 3ml per kg of the sweet plum profile plus.

I think I will use it at about 3-4 ml per kilo mix then. It's pretty expensive stuff either way and adding about 1,5 pound for just a flavor is a bit much, I think.

Thanks gentlemen!

3 to 4 mil per kilo isn't enough in my opinion. I use 1 mil per egg and find this about right. depending on the base mix this equates to 4 to 5 mils per 500g or 8 to 10 mils per kg.

Which flavour are you thinking of using? There are cheaper alternatives for a lot of them.

I wanted to try the toasted Almond, Bob. I only saw that Keencarp and Nutrabaits do an almond version, but those are very hard to find here in the Netherlands.

Yes they do, but haven't tried them and don't know what to expect. I asked it they are willing to sell samples.

The high levels will be OK for short term angling/day tickets etc. For a long term baiting campaign, I'd go much much lower.. and ignore the bottle, work on your own gut feelings and the final taste of the bait.
The Condensed Milk from Mainline, is very good at 2ml a kilo.. It comes through strongly and does not 'boil out'. I'm no Mainline fan at all, but there are some crackers in this range that if they had a Catchum label on, would go for a fortune on EBay...

ive used a few of these flavours in my homemade baits. these being sweet plum, juicy fruit and fruitella. the later 1 in birdfood/milk protrin baits and the sweet plum and fruitella in a fishmeal. the sweet plum i found the optimum level for my bait was 2ml in six eggs. the fruitella i went with 3ml and the juicy fruit i found that 1.5ml per 6 eggs was the optimum level.
i had a few mates that had got onto the fruitella on one of their lakes and they used 1ml per egg. they caught very well for about 6/8 weeks and then they couldnt buy a bite. my feeling is it was too over flavoured. my cathches on these flavours stayed consistent. not that this should matter but these were on some very well known and some what tricky waters.
i recall reading an article/advert for these flavours years back. the wording was something like "the rolls royce of flavours. a bit expensive, but a little goes a long way". that stuck with me and thats why i went with low levels and it certainly worked for me.
Are you sure?
