A quick (and slightly boring) question if I may - does anyone know if the Oxford Carp Baits MC Nut is based on Geoff's ABS mix still, or is it their own recipe these days?

I recall reading somewhere they'd taken the manufacturing ‘in house' now... I'm sure it's good stuff either way, but I'm after some of Geoff's nut mix and they've got a decent offer on at the moment.

Thanks

Not 💯 sure but think it's still Geoff's mix. I used some couple yrs ago and there wasn't any noticeable difference from Geoff's maple nut

You can ask for the original nut mix to be tweaked if you want. Just ask abs for what you want. They will tell you if they think it's a good idea or not.

It is indeed made in house now. Very good bait that I'd take anywhere with confidence.

Oxford Carp Baits MC Nut is rolled in house, fresh to order, on Geoffs (ABS) Nut Base Mix 👍
Mega bait, catches carp year, after year.

I've been looking at this bait for a while now. Heard good things about it.

About a mile from my house, certainly save on postage

Absolute no brainier that Mart. Fantastic bait, brilliant service and a real good range of extra bits and bobs... the pop ups are second to none.

They've got a decent 15% off offer on for another couple of days (best to check, it's still live now). Gets the cost of 10kg down to 5.95kg. Postage decent at a fiver too.

I've got nothing to do with them as a company by the way, just thought it might be useful to share

I bought 20kg about a week before shutdown so haven't used it yet!

Looks, feels and smells lovely to me, good service from Joe too

If it's as good as the ABS version you won't go far wrong. A couple of guys I know use it on their local waters and they jokingly say that they now don't count any fish they catch on it as it's that good it's like cheating.

It seems really good. I started the thread asking the same question, took the plunge with the order after reading the comments, and have been really pleased with it. Smells great, nice texture, the dog goes wild for the smell of it (which I always take as a good sign!) and I caught first time out fishing a bright pop up over it.

Not exactly a long term or comprehensive review, but early signs are very good 👍🏻
