Hi , currently looking for a new net , well two actually . I need a compact net with either a telescopic handle or two piece handle . I bought 2 Sonik retractable nets recently . Whilst they look good and have all the features I like (deep mesh , spike on the bottom) they are incredibly heavy . A real pain when trying to net fish one handed . Does any one have a recommendation for a compact light weight landing net ?

Korda Kaizen Green 2 piece version.

Edit: I believe it comes with a shallower mesh but does have a spike. I think you can buy deeper meshes for them.

Does anyone one know how much you would be looking at for buzzard rods net ? I looked at the kaizen two piece today in the shop . Nice light net , looking at about £100 for it

I don’t think I’d ever spend that on a net 😂

You will not be disappointed with the Kaizen 2 piece. It's a great net. Just be careful when you push it into the ground or bottom of the lake. Push on the end part of the handle with the spike on it. If you push on the other part of the pole you will push the two pieces together and they can be tricky to pull apart again. I know this from personal experience ;-)

I have had 2 x Freespirit S Lite Nets for years.

2 piece 8ft handle.

Ultra lightweight and have never let me down.

Top Tip:

Always carry an old marigold washing up glove in your rucksack. They’re a life saver for jammed rods or net poles.

Make sure no one sees you with it though as they may get the wrong idea. 😂

I use the jrc x lite with 6ft pole with my regular rods . Lovely nets , good quality and don’t break the bank .

Iv just looked and they do a 2 piece pole . I presume that’s the ones you use with the smaller rods

Far from tarty, but I’ve got a wychwood solace 2 piece net, use it with my 10fts, solid piece of kit, landed some good fish, lightweight but strong.

Not sure what else is needed for the £££
