Hi all hoping someone can answer this for me. The gold emblems, are they all the same body size with different spool capacity or is the 4500 actually smaller.
Looking for a mini pit size reel thats bomb proof lol.

Ss2600 is what you want then. Don't think any modern reels can be classed as bomb proof myself

Got ss2600,s they're definitely not mini pits looking for something bigger & wondered if someone could clarify the sizes can't view Emblems locally.

I'd call the 2600 mini pit size personally. Is it the gold spooled emblem 45 that you are on about? They are full size big pit reels. I have them as well as ss2600

4500 are definately smaller reel size. Had both 5000 and 4500 reels.

I had them years ago and they were the same size, I had 4500,5000 and the 6000. The 6000 was bigger than the other 2. None were anything like mini pit reels

No they're different the 4500 and 5000 share the same body and internals.but the rotor is smaller on the 4500, the 5500 amd 6000 bigger than the previous 2 but are the same as each other but with a deeper spool on the 6000

So what I said then? The body of the 6000 was bigger than the other 2 models I had. Don't remember the rotors being different between the 4500 and 5000 , but it was a long time ago. They weren't all that good anyway, and definitely bigger than what I'd call mini pit reels

Currently using the gold 4500 emblems but also have a set of 5000's for pike fishing. Smaller spool and very slightly smaller body. Absolute bomb proof reels, and certainly look special compared to the modern emblems imo

In reply to post 13 The body is the same as far as I'm aware on the 4500 and 5000 as they take the same spindle and gear set, the difference is in the rotor diameter therefore making the 4500 the smallest, the 5500 is the same size as the 6000 so not compatible with the 4500/5000 spool or parts wise
