Got out at the weekend for the first time in months but am only just getting over the back ache I suffered! Was fine after the first night but after spending all day in my chair on the Saturday my back was starting to play up and by the time I woke up on the Sunday I was in all sorts of bother and was seriously worried if I'd be able to lift my gear into the car!
Hoping that just a new chair will sort out my issues as really don't want to have to fork out for a new bedchair as well (Current chair is a JRC Stealth recliner and using a Trakker Oval Mk1 bedchair) Looking through previous posts the Solar SP-CTech appears to be the default option for comfort but has anyone else suffered back pain and found the Solar to be OK? Or is there anything else that might be more suitable.
Suspect the high option may be a bit kinder on the back but will this fit under a brolly in the rain? I'm only 5'9" if that makes a difference

I find the low recliner solar perfect but I've just had the new Solar sofa chair.I have not used it yet but first impressions are it's going to be mega comfy.It looks like the low recliner could be going in the classifieds

The Solar high version is too high for under a brolly, at 5'9 as well, it feels too high in general really though it is really comfortable. I'm looking at switching to the Solar sofa chair as well.

when you get time could you do me a big favour and measure the height of the seat to ground at its lowest and with the legs extended its highest please ?
I want to know how easy or not for me to get out of
as them cnuts at Solar tackle facebook page cant be arsed to even reply or when I emailed them either

Put a small soft cushion at the base of your chair to support your lower back.

At the front it is 40cm high and at the back it's 30cms on the lowest setting but it does drop down when you sit in it,at the highest setting it's 49cms at the front and 40cms at the back.The back legs extend alot more at the back than the front and the back headrest is higher than on my recliner,I think if you have the back legs extended so the chair is more level you will have no issues getting in and out of it mate.I hope this helps

I found both the SP solar bedchair and SP chair to firm for me. I have sensitive trigger points in the lower part of my back so it depends on what's causing your back pain. Best to get out and have a look if you can. I use a SIM on my bedchair and it makes a huge different.

Sat in it for quite a while today,its superb but time on the bank will be test.I like how there is no gap for cold air to get through where the arms on the recliner can

Solar sp c-tech is very comfy . I suffer with a bad back , but not with this . Don't be fooled by the ‘low' version which isn't that low at all and I find it just right 👍

Nash moon chair. Not the lightest but I can move around in it, curl up in it, drape myself across it so I'm not sitting/slouching in one position
Trakker High Back recliner or the Solar..... both fantastic

I would avoid a Moon chair if you have back problems I sat in 2 different versions one in a shop and one a mate loves
and both were terrible for my back

I suffer with severe arthritus in both knees and i'm looking for a chair i won't have to struggle getting myself out of(dont want a chair when your sat in it your bum is lower than your legs)
By all accounts from you guys the Solar SP C-Tech Recliner Chair High is the one to go for but what about the new Solar Sofar chair, is that easy to get in and out of for those that have one?

Yes the sofa chair is just as easy get out of,if you extend the back legs up its a doddle
