The missus booked a caravan on the bank of Bottom Flash in Winsford in June.It says on the website that fishing is available. Anyone fished it before?Not asking for any secrets,just some basic info. Cheers.Paul.

Only fished it once, under similar circumstances.
Wide and shallow, some carp to 20, loads of bream.

No, it was years ago and there was some hot fanny waiting in the caravan so I asked myself what the **** I was doing sat in the mud.

Weaver had a big fish kill few yrs back. Not sure if it ever recovered?

Le Weaveur is a shadow of what it once was during the '90's... Regards Bottom Flash it was quite prolific in the right areas back then but haven't a clue nowadays.

there's been a few fish kills over the years but there's still a few in there, the fish can move in and out of the flash up and downstream. the most productive area of bottom flash was the end of the spit where the weaver flows into it on the day ticket side, quite often you'd catch more fishing in the river behind you as they moved in and out of the flash.
downstream of the flash was best, the sections belonging to winsford aa and further down below hulses island which is northwich aa, before the fishkills it was some of the best carp fishing in cheshire.
it's not as prolific as the old days but still worth a look

Not sure if you've been yet but yes still good fishing to be had, there and in the Weaver so I'm told. The Northwich Anglers FB page has names of the stretches etc but it's members only. Prior to me joining NAA my father in laws friend is a match fisherman, he fishes the Weaver a lot, I'd be looking at the match stretches definately. Tales of Carp lads being chucked off for matches and the match lads hoping for their pre baited swims, yes, not for the Bream of which there are a lot!
I live fairly locally to it now so do walk it, but since moving here haven't been fishing much, I dropped the NAA card too for that reason.
