I currently have a wychwood bedchair but if find it to firm, any recommendations for a softer comfier bedchair .

A cheaper option would be to put a SIM on it
Personally I use one that I can use all year round made for backpackers quality that wont make you sweat like some of the cheaper ones and being the perfect size to fit in between the raised edges LINKY POO

I had the same issues, get a Self inflating mattress. Absolute game changer which means I can do nights which I had stopped due to having sore hips and back. I have the 3.8 Helium and for 50 quid it's the best purchase I've made in years. Makes time on the bank much more comfortable. Also weights next to nothing and can leave in bedchair, but don't over inflate and will make it too firm

I have a trakker SIM on mine and after using it both inflated and not, I have found that just leaving it uninflated works best for me, just a thought to try.

I've got a Wychwood Tactical X and use an Exped Megamat 10 which is a 10cm sim. It comes with a a small fabric pump so you have it from soft to rock hard and anywhere in between, it's so comfortable. It takes seconds to deflate and folds up in the bed with my Snugpak bag. Not cheap but worth every penny imho.

Trakker superlite but it all depends what you want pay wychwood is hard I had one didn't like it got rid by the time you buy and mess around with a sim you be better paying more for a bed where you don't need one

so YOU have no idea how it transforms ANY bedchair
you hated your wychwood from the get go and slagged it off at every opportunity
despite tons of people loving it the REAL TRUTH is some people love a firm bed me included and some hate a firm bed

Back sleepers prefer a harder flatter bedchair.
Side sleepers need a bit of sag so the pressure points (shoulder and hip) get the weight spread out a bit more. This might not be so obvious to you young lads but once you get to 50+ you'll soon realise, especially if you have spent many years in the construction industry!
Having a SIM greatly reduces the pressure on the key points for side sleepers.
Don't over inflate your sim, and I still believe a 3/4 length one is the better option.

same here i use mine on a jrc xlite levelbed, 1st time i inflated it it was awful,the i just undone the valve and it was a game changer as comfy as my mf60 ss4.

I'm a side and back sleeper and have 2x Tactical Xs - both have SIMs to make them comfy.
I needed a slightly smaller session bedchair so now also own a Solar SP C Tech which (for the time being) does not need a SIM (don't need extra weight as its heavier than the X already); using it with a Gardner Compact Bag with the 2nd layer underneath, not over me - no issues.
Wouldn't say its soft (I prefer a non saggy bedchair anyway) but its certainly not uncomfortable - I am currently carrying a shoulder injury and don't have too many gripes sleeping on this side (face away from bivvy door) . . . you pays your money etc

I suffer with bad back and I purchased a avid level tech sleep system. The memory foam mattess is really soft and very comftable.
