Is indeed a thing of beauty, light, stiff and I love the deep mesh....
However, first time out using it this weekend and it collapsed on me as I went to net a 30, luckily enough I had a second net set up, (fishery rules) so was able to deal with the fish but on inspecting the net the handle does not completely tighten up to the spreader block, you get to a point and it just carries on turning and doesn't tighten. It is either the internal thread on the handle that has sheared, or the bolt that goes through the centre of the spreader block that doesn't sit flush, either way the block just spins round, completely useless!
I'm not Korda bashing here as I use a lot of their gear but for £250 you would expect a lot more..
Currently trying to get the tackle shop to take it back and exchange!

Mine was the same when it arrived. It isnt a fault you havent got the bolt screwed into the locking plate properly. It should lock up really tight when the bolt is located properly and wont move at all. After messing around with mine for a couple of minutes i sussed it out but i thought it was faulty as well when mine arrived and did the same. Lovely net buy im the opposite i hate the deep mesh, just waiting for the shallow mesh to come out in a couple of months.

Have had another look this morning and it is definitely the block that's the issue. I have tried a different spreader in the pole and it tightens up fine. As Stuart said the bolt has a recess which should slot in to a recess on the block but there isn't one, it is just perfectly round...hence why it won't tighten. A hex bolt would have been so much better!
I have been in touch with the shop, (Ricci at Fish-On) and he has been in touch with Korda, I have also sent Korda a message and apparently they are going to send me a new block directly.

there's a plate that sits between the pole amd the spreader blockthe base of the spreader block sits in the curve of the plate and everything sits tight together......my spreader block come separate in a bag....check your landing net bag to make sure it hasn't come off at some point or the shop didn't put it on...Worth checking

You definitely need that bit, thats what the block sits in so thats the problem if you dont have it.

Found this plate right at the bottom of the net bag! The spreader block and nut came sealed in a little plastic bag when I got it and with no instructions I didn't even know this little plate existed....
