This is what I use with a quick change fitting to allow me to use various heads from smal pan to a spreader block.

Probably a dumb question but I'll ask, does the twist lock effectively lock the handle at any lengths between 1.9 and 3.0m
So you could lock at 2.5m for example??

Gardner specialist xt. Rock solid and great for clearing margin weed with the Gardner rake on it.

Yes ,it's not let go on me so far but I've not tried lifting any massive fish with it yet.

It was more about the opportunity to have it at any length rather than 2 fixed lengths, I love my mk3 Dymag it's well used but a thing of beauty, however there are situations where an extra meter or so would be advantageous.
Also the shorter version pole would make a good option for my fly fishing set up, the one I presently use is either short or long, doesn't lock until it's extended.

Does the gardner only extend to full length? Nothing in between like the Drennan does?

Whatever you do, don't get the Korum Opportunist. Cheap wafer thin rubbish. Broke mine on the first trip, £40 down the drain.
