Anyone seen these, and what do you think?

I really want one for the XD, but at £500 they are on the pricey side.

are fox taking the absolute piss with this price, **** me people won't be able to eat and heat their houses in October and these daft ****s are charging these prices

The new bivvy market is a genius money spinner now.

First they sell you a door without mesh so you have to buy a separate mozzy mesh door.
Then they convince everyone they need to wrap their bivvy up in another layer to keep it cool/warm/dry
Then everyone needs a little hat for their bivvy to stay cool/warm/dry
Then everyone needs a capsule to keep the naughty spiders out
Now they will sell you a caravan club extension for £500 so you can buy more stuff to fill it with.

Each to their own comforts, but I'll stick to my brolly.

Price is ridiculous I was going to get the X version for when my daughter comes but not at this price, even if you look at the tempest versions even the aquatexx version ain't this much

Frontier includes a Mozzy mesh door

Apparently Fox have had the first ones delivered, going to the shops soon. At that price they can f#%*ing stay there

I wasn't referencing the Fox models in particular, they are all on the bandwagon. Fox just seem to be taking the pricing to the extreme in this case.

Bit of a niche product really....The Trakker social caps are being sold off cheap now so you would assume they didnt sell very well...

Exactly mate but unfortunately she won't stay in a bivvy on her own just yet, but at the price of this extension I might aswell just buy a separate 2 man bivvy. Can get a decent one for around half that

The Trakker social caps weren't cheap in the beginning either and you got one made for hobbits looking at the height + Fox Deluxe Extension is with groundsheet + mesh side/door option.

Cant wait to get mine.

The Armo 2 man in the classifieds (not mine) would be perfect. You could flog the wrap and reduce the cost even more.

I thought these would appear between £300/£350 but £500 feels like a rip-off.

I want one but at that price I'm struggling to justify it, especially with a tempest 200 stored under my bed.

Personally I think Fox have miscalculated this one.

6 months down the line and these will be £250......

Yeah am assuming so. Look at the discount on the bivvies themselves vs their supposed rrp. Frontier X RRP is £650, but you can buy them for £500. I'm sure the price of the social caps will come down.

Just got a Frontier X and tried adding my Tempest 100T social cap .. it fits well.

Unlike the Fox extension, it has no groundsheet or mozzi panels, but I picked it up for about 70 quid which is a good price to add a very useful extra space to the bivvy. The side tension bars fit well enough, and the central top bar is perfect. There are no gaps at the side pegging points where the 'legs' meet the ground and the height is almost identical. Just the job
