Picked one up snapped the bloody plastic elbow joint on first setup looked online cant seem to find spare parts anywhere? don't suppose anyone knows where i can find these?

You could try go outdoors see if they got any damaged stock in back and see if the let you have one like an ex display model

Buy one as a spare if you really want to keep going with that one

i love my force8 bivvy - had it 20 years - quick to put up and integrated groundsheet keeps the rodents out .. i dont use it now but my 17 year old son does !!

The integrated groundsheet won't keep them out if they really want to get in! That's a myth . They will chew their way in if something is attractive enough

It always surprises me that this bivvy gets so many bad reviews, other than the size of its bag, which made it difficult to put away, I never had a problem with mine. There was a knack to putting it up but it wasn't exactly difficult. I got a good few years out of mine before the fibreglass arms softened.

Years ago 4 swims were occupied on a long straight bank with very little cover just open fields I was in an STI my mate had a Stealth brolly and a guy with a force 8 then cant remember bu think the next guy had a trakker shelter
anyway the next morning we had a storm strong winds and heavy rain
and the poor sod in the force 8 pile of poo had his new shelter completely destroyed while the 3 other shelters all exposed to identical conditions were not affected in the slightest
and since that time I have heard of so many others
I still have a similar shelter a Fox Easy dome and thats in a different class completely

When I was at go outdoors we sold loads because they were cheap and cheap for a reason I would try and advise people to invest a bit more as we sold the jrc cocoon bivvy and the spider dome from pro logic but they didn't listen,if I remember we had a few come back in my time there.
Same as reels my department manager sold a guy a £9.99 reel told him it was the best reel ever(he was the bike maintenance guy) thought he knew it all,the guy bought it back and I told him if I was there I'd have advised him not to buy it but I was in another store setting up their new department

All i did was make a post asking about spares for a Bivvy and you keyboard warriors/tackle tarts all jumped on it with smartass comments trying to belittle/it me lol you don't know peoples situations or finances lol.. luckily its not a big deal to me but maybe think before jumping on someone it might be all they can afford or have access to..

Hi mate i managed to order parts from china not genuine parts but do the job and only £3-4 an elbow joint
