Parkfield Angling doing these 3 for £169 look a smart reel for less than £60 each. Any long term reviews.

Seen the line lay on them, could not get better, slow osolation
Mates got some okuma big pits , not that moddle but rates okuma reels

Just shows you much Shimano and Daiwa bend you over a bar stool when Okuma churn these out for £60 and make a profit.

Buy without hesitation, the only drawback is the weight... which is only relevant when extreme range fishing, and even then I'm not sure of the penalty.

I bought 3 of them . not used enough for long term reviews. They look and feel good. However the internals are plastic. So not sure if they will stand up to severe usage.

Internals will be made cheaper but thats shown i the price. Just seen a review from adam penning on youtube. I know anglers are to plug tackle but looking at them seriously look a steal. The bail arm alone is 100% better than my diawa emblem 45s. Ive got a okuma bomber spod reel and its a breeze to use.
Dont think the smaller brands get enough credit because there not used in the public eye.

I suppose it depends on whether you follow fashions, and change reels every few months, or like me buy the best you can afford and use them until they die. I'm at heart a shimano man since the early 80's. I do have daiwa reels for spod and marker. I got the okuma reels based on reviews on this forum. They seem a good reel. However I haven't used them enough to recommend them to another user.

Hammered my 6000s the last 9+ months through winter. Great reels. Only changed to shimano 14000 XTD a for range - but kept my 6000s on my scopes. Great reels.
Assuming they're similar (which I think they are) I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

Had a set for 12 months. Got them for £49.95 a reel.
Been faultless so far. Decent line lay and nothing broke.
Quite chunky with a thick bail arm.
Spare spools expensive compared to the price of the reel.

Smaller brands? Okuma is massive just people only see what the 'super stars' tell you to get. Massive in the sea fishing world and wont go wrong buying a set of okuma reels

I'm confident in saying for the price, there's not a better reel.
I've used them in hellish conditions on sandy banks in heavy storms and they haven't missed a beat.
Puts a lot of my previous daiwa's to shame at a fraction of the cost.

I've had a set just over 12 months and can't fault them. Who knows if they will last 10 years+ like my old emblems but for the money I'd happily bin and buy again after 5 years. Line lays nice, clutch is smooth and overall build is good. They are a big reel I was a bit taken a back when they arrived but was used to emblems or 5500 sized reels.
