I'm fishing France in November so i guess its gonna be cold could someone recommend a Sleep System or bed chair and sleeping bag im on a budget so dont wanna spend loads but at hte smae time i dont wanna freeze my bollox off

I'd reccomend a trakker 365 bag but depends on your budget. Bedchair is so personal and dependant on bivvy it's going in and budget. Need much more info for any real recommendations.

No more then £100 for sleeping bag and £200 for bedchair
I'm 19stone plus 6ft tall id rather spend more on bedchair need something comfy but still able to fit in a cheap 1man bivvy

Iv always scrimped and brought cheap or got second hand but few months back I had enough and searched for a new bed/bag - sleep system. My lake can be a bit or a trek so I didn't want a 400kg system... long story short from recommendations on here got the solar bed (around £200) and the fortis snugpack (£220) weights sod all and warm and comfy.
All depends if you want it just for a week trip or for a good few years. If you want a budget bag then the 5 season cyprinus (around 90) is good

I've had sleep systems and at you're size is say go for a big bag and a big bed as a separate system . you will need the benefit of a big bag and bed. I feel sleep systems are made for snake hipped weasels. Ok if you're Mick jagger in 1969.

If you can find the old model T9445 Nash Indulgence SS3 5 Season system it's a very good bed for around £300. I've had one since they came out. Firm non memory foam mattress, no sag, nice and warm in winter and zips off for 3 season summer. Also only weighs 12.7kg which is pretty light for 5 season compared to what's around now.
One caveat is I'm only 5'9 and normal weight, but feels like there is plenty of room for bigger guys. Looks like England Angling have one for £330 but he might take an offer for old stock.

I'm 6ft2 and 15stone. Since 5y I'm having a fox R2 camo bedchair which does its job.
There are priced £170 on angling direct at the moment. This would give you some margin to invest in a good sleeping bag

Nope.
I've ditched the sleeping bag now and will do the summer with a bedchair cover and a Snugpak Jungle Travel Blanket.
Perfect for the summer and actually cuts down on the size of luggage that comes with me.

The Nash is my 1st one tbh. Always thought they were for fat old campers. But.. It's lighter than my old Wychwood tactical and separate Big Snooze, warmer, the bag doesn't move about and flop down in the mud and the bed is much firmer. For me the sleep system has been superior in every way.
