OK so after having 2 avid beds and them both breaking after a few years I am on the look out for something better!
Benchmark is great comfort best night sleep I've had but I fish 2 3 times a week and it did not last 3 years. The frame has snapped! I weigh 15 stone.
So looking at the recommendations solar seems to come top. Is there anything better ?
Comfortable and light no matter cost.

Saw a guy taking one back to the shop last week with the frame snapped. This wasn't at a joint or weld either middle of one of the cross bars.

Solar Ch08 is a top bed for its price, not the lightest but not very heavy either (10.2kg)

This was that money, sleep system, guy had just done a few nights on linear, Im getting a new bew soon and did look at avid but will give the a wide birth now.

If you are 15 stone 100% go for the CH08, you will not find a better built bed in that price range in fact it is a better bed than many that cost + 300/400.
I have looked at all those light -8 kg beds imo they are all worthless and not comfortable, 10.2 kg of the CH08 is not that heavy but of a different level of quality

For me the mattress on the CH08 felt better than on the Sp c tech (less hard) but that's just personal, build quality is top on the Sp c-tech but also on the CH08, for me the extra price is not worth the spc- tech compared to the CH08, the Sp c-tech is also heavier.
Both are actually non sleep systems because the sleeping bag is not zipped to the bedchair, the only one that is a real sleep system is the undercover camo pro

Personally I will not buy a system as I prefer separates, any bedchair I get will have a sim on it, a tech lite bag and cotswold cover for when really cold as I'm old and feel the cold now.

The avid is 450 and not up the mark not sure a 200 bed would be?

It's a 350.00 bed normally on its own and the build quality is second to none.

I have the levelite in oval, very good matraas and top build quality
The Solar and the Trakker levelite serie are for me the best builded beds on the market.
CH08 might be cheaper but it's still top build.

I've had the trakker levelite els bedchair but the solar ch08 looks better in pictures but will see when I veiw one. Like I said I won't buy a system, brake it when out of production and its a new system. Better for me to be able to change bed, bag as I want.

I had the restbite then Benchmark the prior was a better made bed got rid of both and have the solar sp tech which is a superb bed to be fair an extra £100 happy upgrade.

Sp c tech is a bloody great bed but does my head in that it doesnt fold very well with a bag etc in it.....

Ive got a trakker els and its as good bed and is very light I think someone posted them up for £199 on here the other day which is a great price, Ive also got the solar sp c tech and its the best bed ive owned and ive had a few very firm and well made wider and heavier than the ELS but it is brilliant
I dont get the comment below about it not folding flat I use a fortis bag and mine folds fine ??
Having had SS in the past I dont think you can beat the flexibility of seperate bed and bag

Mine doesn't fold flat with no sim or bag in it.......

strange that pal - there is a bit of a gap with the hinge mechanism on the solar and my levelite folds flatter but cant say ive noticed

Nor mine. Think its down to the after thought of the retaining strap they have used. The ones on my flatliter were far better

Not sure being zipped together defines wether something is a sleep system or not.
Any sleeping bag this is designed specifically for, and supplied with a bedchair is a sleep system

I thought a SS was zipped in so you don't get full bag

My fox one was a full sleeping bag with a zip outside that zipped onto the bed
My solar one is a full bag, the hooks in either end, and velcros along the sides onto the bed

What you describe on the 2nd one is more matching products really. But I suppose everything can be a kit if you put it together. So you can definitely call anything a system I suppose.
I have an old wideboy bed and a nash frostbite wideboy that fits it like a glove. Pre date the sleep systems by a few years.
