I bought a solar universal pod with the discount code after seeing one on the bank to add to the pod collection. I hold my hands up its a fantastic bit of kit after having a proper look at it on the bank and much better design with the twin centre bars than the previous worldwide.

I agree on its versatility. It still is a bit fiddly with all the thumbscrews but its so much better than my old worldwide, the machining and finish is also in a different league to my original one so solar are upping there game not just in bedchairs. It looks superb as well. Just waiting for the wife to spot it in garage and start moaning as ive moved all her sewing stuff to make space for it. Its kind of the opposite to my jag rp1 which is very compact and very quick to set up but i suppose its not designed to be be like that as its for all situations.

Wow Are you a pod collector how many you got ? They both look really nice tbh there's one thing spending a lot of money on a pod but moving wife's sewing gear you are really asking for trouble lol

Had 4, original sod pod which i will never sell as had it since i started in the early 90's. A jag 316 mk2 which ive just sold and the 316 rp1 and now the solar universal so down to 3 now. Just waiting for the new solar captive buzz bars to come out to go with the universal and thats me sorted pod wise. The wife know who the boss is 😀

Ive always said the single centre round bar on the worldwide is a bad design, mine was a massive improvement after i converted it to twin centre bars
