I've been trying on this jacket and found one that fits well but it's summer or supposed to be lol I had a thin fleece top on I didn't buy it because I wanted to ask first will I need a thicker warmer top on in winter in which case the jacket would be to tight
Or are they that good warm I wouldn't need to what do users do feedback please

T-shirt and snuggy for the majority of winter but when it gets really cold either, fleecy over t-shirt and goretex over snuggy or breakout the Sasquatch

If you have to put fleece under it,the lake will be frozen and you will be at home

A thicker warmer top underneath will prevent the top from working so well. The way they work is they harness and store the body heat so a hoody for example will prevent it from doing that. You'd feel colder. You can get away with thinner stuff i.e. a t-shirt and microfleece, which is certainly enough for my SJ9 even in the coldest conditions.

Is that a fact didn't realise that I just didn't want to buy one and fits fine to start with then in winter have to put fleece under and it's to tight as the arms on one I tried on where already very tight to get on is it the Dpm one everyone's talking about

Yes, made that mistake with a sleeka, got an xl and wore fleece etc under it, and wondered why I still felt cold.
Do you wear your sj9 without another skin/outer layer? And if so is it warm enough in our average winter?

A very light weight M&s thermal top and a normal t shirt under mine in the depths of winter is fine.

Depends what size you are and what size you buy.
All I meant was what I needed to keep warm underneath it. Nothing wrong in going a size up if you want the space.

Misunderstanding probably by me its not a heavy fleece but a microfibre top with zip neck, so not a thick fleecy.

I have the SJ9 and as per the name it is a snug fit. I normally wear a thin long sleeve thermo top underneath. I have found this to be better than a T shirt as it prevents you from sweating.

Everyone I've spoke to says the s9 is to bulky and hot that's why I am looking at s6 I know the s9 is warm with tea shirt but didn't know if the s6 is to it's a lot of money £150 to buy it and not be happy with it
