If they are busy and your item is not on a 24hr delivery they will put it back until they can get it out,if its a 3-5 day service you might get it on the 5th day

I had some boilies coming from Holland twice refused at customs as they thought they were food items because of the flavour on the documentation.
DHL said they would be delivered shortly after a delay.
Allowed a fortnight both times never happened.
Ensure that the supplier has put the appropriate customs documentation with whatever you order or it just ends in limbo I think and the tracking page just makes you think its being processed.

If your getting messed about or the courier is crap don't bother chasing them.

It is the responsibility of the shop to get the goods to you.

The customer is the shop in this scenario not the buyer.

I'll let you know tomorrow as my new RT4 has just landed in the UK and it has a next day delivery scheduled.

It's hard to say one courier is poor over another. Surely it's largely to do with their drivers and not all drivers provide the same level of service.

O yeah, it's now been 3 months and after me constantly posting on his threads he refunded me. Said he's posted 3, but if that was me I'd do it recorded (for the £16 pnp I paid) then you could track it! God knows how he runs his ‘business' Shame as he seems to have decent stuff, o well

I see, I'm not the only one who had problems with the delivery company. I was supposed to receive a package in 3-4 days, and it came in a week. No calls or messages with apologies and prejudices that it will come a little later than it was supposed. And there was no tracking number. I was so angry!
Next time I will do it through another delivery service, and I will definitely track the order through some royal mail tracking. I don't want to repeat my past mistakes anymore. I value my time and nerves.

Delivery times may vary depending on company congestion or postal communication between countries. If your parcel is particularly important and fragile, it is better to track its movement. The ability to track an item is a criterion for the transparency of online sales. From the customer's point of view, such delivery is the key to being sure that the purchase from that online store was the right one. After all, unlike shopping in physical stores, there is no way to see the item before placing the order in online sales. I always keep track of my online purchases through services. Which may be useful for you as well postsendungsverfolgung.com. This is essentially the buyer's way of confirming that the purchased item is really on its way and that everything is OK with the purchase.

Getting anything picked up on a Friday by a courier is a bad idea.....it means it is kicked around a warehouse/sorting area all weekend without any management in attendance to prevent horseplay and misappropriation.
Often packages get stuffed to the back and get dealt with later than newly arrived items too.
With DHL you do have a good chance of at least receiving the bivvy....when and in what state is a totally different ball game.

The drivers will not deliver to any high rise. The drivers seem to say to who and where they will deliver, I don't use any dealers who use DHL

I feel like having my rant here: UPS sent me a text yesterday stating my rod would arrive this morning between 10am and 1pm. Their site said the same. Now scheduled for tomorrow, £30 they charged.
Wonk3rs.

They're all crap. I've had issues with every courier you could name. Makes me laugh when some Albanian in a 20 year old transit turns up with your stuff - that's where the courier has subbed the delivery to a third party, they all do it. I often get those kind of deliveries when I am expecting the likes of DPD, DHL, Hermes, etc. I had one last week, was meant to be Hermes - bloke left the parcel on my doorstep, didn't knock and that was 8pm. Tracking then said, parcel was handed to resident!

Common issues... saying they tried to deliver and you weren't in - when you were in, knocking on the door and waiting a few seconds, then when you open the door they're driving off, sending you notifications with a delivery slot, then not turning up or delivering before/after the time they gave you, delivering to a random house nearby - when you are in, delivering to a collection point without attempting delivery to your home (UPS do that all the time to me) and then when ordering from the EU... charging you VAT when it isn't due (goods have to be over £135) and also, charging an 'admin fee' which they basically make it up as you they go along. I have three ongoing disputes to recover charges that were incorrectly applied.

Finally... these courier firms deliberately make it hard to contact them, they ignore emails, never answer the phone and their tracking is often fictional.

After saying all that - Royal Mail, despite their faults, are the best I have dealt with and Tuffnels the worst, buy some margin. The rest are just sh1t.

I have got one of them bloody stupid Ring doorbells and that has caught a few shockers with these so called couriers.I had a parcel left that was not even for my house, the neighbour was very relieved when I took it to them.It was a very expensive ring they had sent off for cleaning and repair.
