Hi All

Anyone got and used the RidgeMonkey Connect Stove Pro Full Kit (Dual Stoves)?

Are they any good? General advise would be welcome

I've had the original ones since they came out and they haven't missed a beat. Even when they recalled them there was nothing wrong with the ones I had but ridgemonkey insisted I send them back for a replacement 🤷🏻‍♂️. Ive used them in all weathers and they've been fine so id imagine the newer ones will be just as good if not better as I believe the newer ones have a pre heat

Good luck finding a set anywhere.

I've been trying to get hold of a set since May and they seem to be out of stock everywhere.

I did manage to find a single Quad Stove Pro which is very good but the dual sets have proved impossible to find in either size.

Got the quad mini full set the tube that connects the auxiliary stove randomly burst into flames it was like Piper Alpha 🔥

I purchased one recently, connected it all up as per the instructions, turned it on, adjusted the gas valve underneath and no gas was coming through the head unit, tried releasing the gas from the canister head with the valve both open and closed, still nothing......unscrewed the gas bottle and got covered in liquid gas.....good job I hadn't got a fag going...

Might have just been a faulty unit but with all the scare stories from the first batch it put me off for good... ......there are much better out there IMO.

Lot of stuff on FB recently about them bursting into flames due to poor connection's, IMO a very dangerous bit of tat.

It was but there have been a lot of posts on FB in the last couple of months like post's 4 and 5 on here, connectors failing and then just bursting into flames, definitely the latest model.

Only had mine a couple of months went into meltdown about the 3rd time I used it !!

Bought new in Jan. lasted 3 sessions, gas leaking at regulator and not coming through to stove. Sent back for refund.

My mates blew up. I personally wouldn't go near one. Ive had a primus omni fuel for well over 15 years and it still works as well as the day i first bought it.

Bought the full kit quad kit as soon as it came out.Used 2/3 times a month since Jan,had no problems at all really happy with it,really stable.

Then 2 weeks ago it just burst into flames underneath the main head,almost as if the gas pipe was leaking.Retailer replaced it straight away but its got me a bit worried it will do it again.

Had the previous model for around a year and had no problems with that

I see on **** Face this week some lads RM charger exploded and burnt his bivvy down!!!

Do they sell anything that wont kill you?

My pro mini quad connect stove the prime head the middle part that the flames come out of came away from the stove . I took it back to the tackle box and Mick at the box who dealt with it refitted the part he said it he had to do the same to 5 other stoves that had done the same it lasted all of 2 other times I used it before it fell of again . I took it back to the box again and got my money back as didn't want a replacement .
