Hi everyone, I'm thinking about ordering the TopAmino Basemix from BAF. Has anyone tried this mix, what are your experiences? Would you recommend it?

Thank you very much for your advices!

Never tried it, but the recipe is on the Home Made Bait Buffs Facebook group if you want to make it cheaper.

Bloomin awesome mix! Had my best season ever last year on it, just sold a 25kg sack but only as I don't have the time or energy to roll myself manually. Use with massive confidence!

Fantastic mix - started using it at Christmas and have had some great results on it since then.

I'd highly recommend it

Anyone know what's in the base mix ?

I am considering ordering 5 kg from BAF.

Don't need the exact recipe but just want to make sure my additives don't duplicate anything in the base mix.

When you ask to join the group (I'm assuming its HMBB) then you have to answer a few questions and they'll get back to you. I didn't know anyone in the group at all when I joined last year but had no issue getting in once I'd answered the questions.

I'm definitely a beginner and so are lots of others in the group. I'd go through the process again if I were you.

I'm an old school angler and home bait maker and applied to join as I thought it would make for interesting discussions. I had a reply but they were concerned that I had no Facebook profile.
Made me laugh lol.

That's because the person who runs the page is scared to death of being challenged by anyone with any experience on any aspect of bait making. There are also many back door deals that go on within the group and thus the narrative is designed purely to push certain products from select individuals.

Interesting perspective. All I've got from the group is helpful advice with recipes (not just a promo for certain base mixes or products). I'm not interested in personal beefs that some may have.

Not sure what these back door deals are... perhaps I'm missing something

He was on here a while back but got banned pretty quickly. Talks a lot of drivel and doesn't like to be proven wrong on anything.

I'm not up to speed with anyone's history with forums... but my experience as a beginner has been positive in the group. And the Trop basemix is good which is perhaps the important point in this thread.

Also, I'm in a few other bait making groups on faceache... and all of them have one or two opinionated people who don't like (amongst other things) flavours, certain bait companies, and... the list goes on.

Doesn't mean there isn't some value or good advice from those on there.

Probably enough from me on this now.

Trop is indeed a good basemix. The usual mix of fishmeals, refined milks, clo, yeasts etc. It was the work of a group of members who after is release were dumped out of the group so Robbo could claim it as his own... I have no beef with the geezer but he is a proper tool, I only questioned him about his "fish tank" and was booted instantly...
