Long story short I am a disabled angler (spinal cord injury April'19) after 6 months physio & rehab I am able to walk with a stick and with the thoughts of losing my ability to go carp fishing anymore I pushed myself to continue in this wonderful hobby of ours.
So in Nov'19 I purchased a Trakker Levelite Longback Chair purposely because of its lightness, high back and stability and used it for a day session that winter then put the gear away for winter and then with the aide of my fishing buddy I managed a 3 night session early March'20 and then came the Pandemic and Lockdowns.
So my 1st session back was March'21 and 48hrs into my session as I sat down on my Trakker Levelite Longback Chair it suddenly decided to collapse and there was me like a tortoise on its back arms & legs waving about on the floor (luckily I have no feelings to 90% of my body waist down).
Upon inspection the Seat Frame Tubing had snapped in exactly the same place both sides where it is drilled and the front leg frame is mounted....surely this should not happen on only its 5th trip of use
I contacted Trakker Customer Services and on the 15th March they stated "Im so sorry to hear you have had a problem. As this item is less than 12months old please return it to your original place of purchase to be reviewed under warranty. I hope this helps Many thanks Team Trakker"
So I took the item back to Oakwood Angling (Welwyn Garden City) and they took the item without any questions etc and said ok leave it with us and we will contact you shortly with your replacement etc.
Yesterday I had a chat with Oakwood and they stated Trakker wont honor the Warranty terms as it is over 12months old and a sale receipt could not be found?
Gutted that Oakwood have gone over and above to aide and assist me where possible since my disability and to be let down by a Major Manufacturer as Trakker to respond like this is very disappointing.

Sorry to hear this did you pay credit debit card there will be record of you buying it if you contact card people they might look into it or contact consumer department or citizens advice or the shop will have a record of sale the trouble is these companies are getting everything from China and out to make a fast buck that chair is faulty no question trakker should just replace it doesn't mater if it's 6 months a year or two years it shouldn't break like that

My dad had the same problem I bought it from Bob co and they just swapped it straight for a new one, it was about 11 months old and they sorted it straight away. I've had the transformer Trakker chair for about 2/3 years now and had no problems, also got the trakker levelite long back recliner chair both as good as new

A chair should last longer then 12 months I would be in contact with trading standards and you are lucky you did not end up in hospital again

Breaking like that should not happen no matter how old the chair is. Seems to me like it has a weak point/s just waiting to give way.
Trakker should be ashamed of themselves and is terrible to think that they've just simply swept it under the carpet. Myself I'd be wary that my company is selling a serious injury of a product waiting to happen, be apologetic and offer a full refund or a replacement.

:( too bad wanted to buy one, they now have a V2 2021 version, but they only refer to double stitching upgrade.

It's shameful mate. If they do not reverse their decision then I'd put it over media where I could stating that this looks to be a manufacturing fault and to be aware of risk of injury.

On another note it's only when you get to actually break ‘sorry no pun intended' something down that you realise why things had broke and where they could have improved the product.
Doesn't sit right ‘sorry once again' with me that this product or indeed any product should just snap in this way. I once purchased a bedchair from amazon for £35 ‘yes £35' and whilst it didn't turn out to be much good it took an 18 stone frame without snapping.

Exactly right, these ****s like Trakker think they are clever with their social media use but this day and age it works both ways.
Get their response posted in the right place and within hours tens of thousands will have seen it and quite a few will buy something else, hit them in the greedy *******s pocket.
The people that run these companies are not always the brightest of sparks, proven by Trakkers shocking response.

My simple rule for chairs are avoid alloy frames, they just don't seem strong enough
