Hi all,

Does anyone use / has used the T1 with the inner capsule in place and a wide bedchair. If so can you let me know what you thought of it size wise?

Is there still plenty of room or did it feel cramped if you were doing a longer session of say 3 or 4 days or a week.

It's a hobbit bivvy, with inner dome for smurfs...

Have never understood the hype of the T1, with an inner dome and a wide bedchair you hardly have space left and it's also very low inside

Imo if you want Nash wait for the Hide XL Camo Pro or go for the Fox Frontier, you are not doing yourself a favor by staying in a T1 3/4 days a week

😂😂 don't know how you come to that conclusion mate??

The T1 has a great internal layout with the inner dome in place, I have an SS3 wideboy that when pushed up against the flat back allows me to sit on the bed with my feet outstretched and still be inside the door, plenty of headroom as well and I'm 6ft.

More useable internal space than my Tempest V2. Have done 3 night sessions in both bivvies and had no problems or discomfort in either.

Buy the T1 with confidence 👍

Titan still the king, agree with Spod, I've done five nighters in the tcpro with a levelite els with no problem but the T1 is still my choice if swim allows.

I have looked at it extensively in the store, it is barely 135 high, low door entrance if you put the bechair 45cm from the ground you hit the inner dome with your head.

Wasn't impressed with the canvas quality either, but there are plenty of them who are satisfied with it.

Interesting to see such polarized positions on a bivvy. Other than the height, it is roughly the same dimensions as the frontier XD when compared, the only real difference is the XD is a bit deeper.

I have looked extensively at the frontier, the XD in particular, but having seen a friend having issues with several ultra brollies, it's hard to trust a fox bivvy. Having said that it's one to keep an eye on, cause there aren't many complaints so far. But the titan range has a better pedigree.

Tyvm everyone for your opinions, much appreciated. Spod has had a ss3 wide in it and that's the same dimensions as my bed, so that's even more useful.

The Frontier has high sides which makes a big difference compared to most bivvies and certainly with one that is barely 130 cm high inside and when you compare T1 footprint with the frontier the XD is a lot bigger (My previous Quest tackle sizes are 280 x 225 guess: inside much smaller than the frontier Xd which is 270 x 210.)

I'm not saying you need to buy the Frontier, i only say what i saw in shop when i compared 4 bivvies.

Yeah you are right, the frontier is much taller on paper. Might be worth seeing them in the flesh after March 29th to compare. As I said previously, fox don't have the best reputation with me and their bivvy range.

Why would anyone need a bivvy that's over 4.5 ft tall? Surely you only sit or lay in it anyway? Footprint is far more important,no?

Put a titan t1 and frontier xd next to each other backs to the wind on a wind swept open pit in gale force winds and see which one stands up best. Higher the flat back the more wind pressure on it, the pre flat back titans we're the best shelter ever in gale force winds closely followed by the pioneer.

The Frontier will do fine in strong winds, no need to be worried about that.

Oh the powerplus is lush at 5.5' I can put a coat on with ease and then get out so I can see the appeal. Having said that I also have a T1 and a Hog.

Had both my Nash Canvas and Power plus in 80 mile an hour winds on a gravel pit years ago. Both stood up well. The Reason I purchased the Titan is for high winds/trees not that I intend to fish near trees in high winds however you can never tell how the weather may turn at night.

I do like the extreme canopy for the Titan as well.

Also watch out for the in built trip hazard at the door when your staggering around in the middle of the night

Good effort that...roll the mosi mesh down so it sits in the slurry at the foot of the door

Done several 5 nighters in mine with SS3 wide bed through the biggest storms we've had in the uk, no problem at all. I do use some long pegs and overwrap in extreme conditions though. I've enough space for provisions, clothing, tackle & cooking gear all organised.

Bought my T1camo in February last year. Great timing. Bought the winter wrap and heavy duty groundsheet all as a package for longer sessions. Done five 4/5 day sessions all in bad weather, two in gale force winds with one unbelievably wet week with massive thunderstorms. Immovable, completely waterproof and spacious with an ss3 wide boy and a solar recliner chair. No issues at all. Expensive but quality. Buy with confidence.

Perfect. That's what i was looking at the T1 for. We all like to be sat outside, but i wanted to know if you were stuck in a long session where it rained almost constantly, was there room inside to be comfortable.

Thanks again to everyone else for their input, it really is appreciated and helps massively. Esp as its impossible to trust fishing magazine "reviews".

I have had the T1 for a few years now and it will undoubtedly stand up to anything the uk weather will throw at it. I had it out in 60 mile an hour gusts and didn't even peg out all the pegging points and it never moved. The inner capsule as a bit low on head height but you will be perfectly fine there is definitely a lot of room and it shouldn't feel cramped. It's a heavy bit of kit and that's the main reason for me not using it more.

I have a T2 camo. Magnificent bit of kit IMO

Solid as a rock

Owning a T1 and Canopy which I do like does make me realise just how superb the powerplus is. It's lighter larger (2 standard bedchairs will fit in it) and it packs down smaller. I've just replaced all the guy ropes and rubbers and pegging rubbers on it. However I do have a Hog/winter skin and Nash Canvas.

If I were to have only one then the T1 Camo MK2 and Extreme Canopy would do a fine job although it's like having two body bags.

Power plus rare as hens teeth but a spot on bit of kit

Only issue I found was condensation drip...

Well made though and cosy

No different to the T1 imo which results in having to remove the inner capsule anyway else packing it down and drying it out at a later time. The Powerplus is the same in the regard.
