I would of thought that as this consignment value is over £135 your delivery will get vat, import duty, and handling fee before getting to you?

Correct, £424 is the total with everything included. S&H was 13.20 euros and Duty was 7.61 euros.

No I meant it may still get import fees once hitting the uk. You've not mentioned vat below and new rules are items over 135 then vat is collected on arrival to UK and then also custom and handling fees.

Just vat alone would make it poor value.
I still can't work it out, one work order I've had from Germany everything was sorted by the retailer, another from Holland and I had to pay over 30% the original value

Plus 20% vat
Then
2% import duty as per tariff lookup
Then handling fee from the carrier, maybe around £10 ish
Possible total around £530 ish if customs hit it

I've looked into it myself since you raised the issue. Unfortunately for me you may be correct unless it was added by Fishernator. As long as the total isn't over what i'd have to pay in the UK then i'll be happy, I have wanted the reels for a while now. Lesson learnt though!

It's vaguely possible it gets through as it all only just changed there are potential gaps / allowances.
I know of someone getting expensive (£180 ish) aftershave over from France without extra charge since the new year

Fishernator have told me there won't be any extra to pay as it's already paid. I'll know for sure on Monday!

I have two packages waiting for me in the Uk that got sent back. Crazy times. Luckily I can still get most bits here

You are right , I used to send rods out to europe every fortnight on average no hassle whatsoever, last 3 sets i sent never arrived , for the time being its uk only !

Good stuff bud. I just sent a box of bits to the Uk. Normally costs me 5 euros for similar size box . This time 20. Also Vica versa through a courier I use in the Uk. Normally pay 1.75 on the kg regardless of size but but get a ten pound handling charge and 10% of full charge on top. Waste of time sending or receiving anything from the Uk at the moment.
