Which socks are you guys using in the winter ? Need some really warm ones, currently got the fox chunk ones but my feet are still getting cold.

I've always struggled to find something that really works, always my toes that end up cold

Ive use bridgedale socks for as long as i can remember and never had cold feet.

Have been using Smartwool hiking socks for the last 15or so years. Amazingly warm.

I've always thought it's the footwear that keeps your feet warm rather than the socks. After years of putting up with cold feet I've finally found what works for me; Brasher walking boots when I'm up and about and Baffin Trappers when I'm sat on my arse. Both just with thin merino or light hiking socks. Cold feet are finally a thing of the past

Agree with good footwear always have used a decent pair of boots. Last two pair Lowa's and have never had cold feet.

I use brasher hillmasters, still getting cold feet though but hopefully a new pair of warm socks will sort it lol.

Just make sure your not over tightening the boots as slowing the circulation can cause cold feet too. But a decent pair of socks will definitly help matters. If all else fails some of those heated insoles.

I bought some merino wool socks from aldi this year, absolute game changer.

Merino wool for me aswell, I only need one pair on with my boots and they are fine. Sometimes at night I find my feet to hot with them on even during the winter

Tested by Explorers in the coldest, most extreme places on this planet this sock delivers more comfort and warmth than any other Bridgedale sock

I've tried most of them over the years and think these are the best by far Smartwool Adult Mountaineering Extra Heavy Crew Socks

The trick is having two pairs so you can change them when they get damp, that's what gives you cold feet, once they are cold I find the only way back is either a good walk or some of those Hot Feet things which are brilliant

Baffin Titan boots + the Smartwool socks below, only change into them once set-up = forget what the weather is doing, your feet will be warm.

Bridgedale heavyweight explorers knee-length are excellent and so are the smartwool ones...both very warm and last for ages, money well spent for a winter sock...

If you are going shopping get 2 pairs.

Was taught ages ago that changing socks regularly keeps your feet warm. Change every couple of hours new socks on , old in pockets and change them regularly. Never had cold feet since. Its the sweat and lack of breathing and wicking that cools your feet

Bought some socks last winter recommended on here don't find them that warm tbh a lot of this clothing is made for people walking and moving around creating body heat carp fishing we are sitting around

I suffer quite badly with cold feet, even in baffin boots with woolpower socks, the only thing that works for me are heated socks, less than £40 from amazon.

Been fishing today and my feet froze with skeetex field boot and Bridgedale socks.
However, one guy on a Facebook page suggests woolen socks with silver thread, suggesting that the silver thread keeps heat in. So did a quick search online and came up with a website for raynauds disease which has these socks.

Anyone used the socks? Never heard of the disease. May get a pair to try.

I have been using heat holder socks for the last few years and work great for me.
