At a time when some online shops seem to be struggling with demand England Angling again impress with service. Ordered an item at 16.05 yesterday with free delivery and it arrived at 9am this morning ! Totally recommend these guys.

Probably my favourite online tackle shop. Guy that runs the place is super helpful, products always arrive quickly and free postage on end tackle! Whats not to like.

Usually spot on but I ordered some catty elastics last week and still not arrived. Im guessing as its Royal Snail letter post I might be in for a bit of a wait! EA were the only retailer I could find with the elastics in stock..

Found the same myself, I've waited 8 days for second class to arrive just not good enough royal mail!

I got to agree, I used to be a postie before working as a doorman about 11 years ago this time of year was just crazy, got a stage for a few days before Xmas we got told to put all 2nd class post to one side and get all the rest out. Then we started slowly adding the 2nd class to it didn't do it for long just a few days but was a lot to deliver

exactly and of course not only is it all the extra stuff for Christmas and all the people buying stuff online as the shops were closed
THEN all the Royal mail staff that have staff shortages due to members self isolating when a family member gets infected etc
the real truth is for the most part Royal mail staff do an outstanding job they are essential workers working all thru everything
anyone moaning at this time of year needs to give their head a wobble

Or you could just shop local and support your local tackle shop. This year must've been almost impossible to survive for them. I know in Hampshire a couple of my favourite tackle shops have shut over the last year or so. Use them or lose them as they say.

I don't actually have one apart from go outdoors and they are rubbish apart from bait (they have sticky krill and my ex mrs works there so I get her staff discount on top aswell) tbh I do no of a few smaller tackle shops just miles away and all the ones who had a website actually did pretty well this year.

It's a shame that you don't have a decent local tackle shop. I'm sure they've managed to just about keep afloat with online sales but they must've missed out on people like me wandering in and buying a packet of hooks or a couple of leads and bits whilst the mrs shops in tescos down the road.
Sadly I'm sure eventually it'll all be the big online company's and the days of sniffing pots of pop ups and glugs will be a thing of the past.
Christ I'm sounding like a miserable old sod!

I did visit my local shop in first instance for exactly the reasons you say but unfortunately they did not have the item in stock and none available at supplier to order in.

Used England Angling on a few occasions and always been spot on, I have two small local tackle shops that I do use occasionally not for everything as they are not those kinds of shops but I will go in for the items I know they will have, a friend of mine owns the one "Woodies" and then there is Sue's Tackle, neither do online but survive on walk in custom a rarity these days but then this is Hereford where we have six toes laws that state we can shoot a Welshman with bow and arrow on the Cathedral green and our internet is still practically as fast as dial up connection.

Completely agree mate I would love to have a local tackle shop I would definitely support them as much as I could. Yeah I see what you mean mate for the smaller companies but the larger, better known shops definitely did pretty well this year

My local tackle shop the bloke said it's the best it's been in 30 years! Due to every starting fishing in lockdown. It's only a small shop they don't really sell stuff like chairs or bivvies stiff like that but I get all my end tackle and fresh bait from them 👍🏼

My local tackle shop means a near 50 mile round trip,..sadly not been in there for months and months...shameful I know...hoping to get up to launceston at some point...or Milemead maybe..
If I need some dendra,or mags..its easier for me to use Willys worms,I'd love to support local,a lot more...

I like Milemead aswell mate i fish there a lot, problem is the shop ain't the biggest and don't have much in, Paul is great tho and will order most in for you if he can

Not surprised you like it mate,you've done very well there..👍..its come a long way since it first opened,and one of the brothers,saying hope we've done the right thing doing a course fishery....

Yeah got to agree it's very well run and looked after, I remember talking to them and the worries they had about opening one then seeing how busy it is these days. It has been kind to me up there but I have had a few hard sessions aswell there lol

I mainly came up for the big roach in the original carp lake,when Harry was around,...
I like the carp n cats lake,especially now...got a good memory of last new yrs eve,all the fireworks going off,round Tavi,and local isolated properties,was a clear night ,no light pollution..surreal and amazing..
Even the chinese lanterns rising up,was brilliant,bit naughty those lanterns ,
See you up there over xmas...if it ever stops raining...lol

I wasnt having a moan at EA..far from it and the same for Royal Mail, I appreciate they are mega busy at the mo and have staff isolating all over the place. I prefer to use my local tackle shop Browns of LB...good bunch of lads who know their onions when I can. However on this occasion they were out of stock with no delivery date for a resupply. My elastics arrived yesterday ,so all things considered not bad at all.
