Evening I am in the market for a new bivvy,budget is around £350.
Needs to be quite compact and not weigh a tonne,any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

If you want a cheap new bivvy. Get yourself a Cyprinus storm. £250 good price for a lot of brolly

Tbf the Tempest brolly and 100T don't suffer that problem not being aquatex
Owned a tempest brolly for a few years it was spot on but needed something taller so bought a quest (sent back) and a storm (too low) and a axs (preferred the tempest pole set up)
So have just bought the 100 T wish I had just bought that first! light solid easy to put up and reliable tough material, also perfect height.

That doesn't happen with the cheaper tempests it's just the aquatexx materials bivvies that they change colour over time they are double his budget, I'm on about getting either the tempest 100T or the tempest 100 brolly both in the price range stated

Just had a look at the tempest 100 bivvy,looks a cracking bit of kit for that price,just a shame that all your other bits have to be bought as additional items,whereas a lot of bivvys have these as standard

I don't know what's happened to Cyprinus but I would maybe avoid if I was you. A mate of mine got one of the Tempest copies in DPM (not sure the model name) and has already had to replace two poles, one that snapped while he was pegging the overwrap down 
Fair play to them though they got the replacements out straight away so they are obviously used to it
One thing though is the poles they sent out seem to be upgraded so whether it was a known problem that has now been dealt with who knows.

Same thing happened with a friend of mine he bought a typhoon, all the cyprinus badges where on upside down and 2 different pegging points come off with the first use, also a damaged storm pole needed replacing aswell. Wouldn't touch them myself

You can get a 100t tempest with a infill and groundsheet for around £350 mark maybe even cheaper tomorrow with Black Friday

Best is to get a bundle deal for the TB 100 or 100T.
In Holland with Black Friday around 326 pounds voor the 100 and 341 ponds for the 100T.
A lot of stores are giving great discounts.
I have a Brolly V2 (aka 100) myself and it serves me well for many nights the last 2 years.
If I had to buy a new one I would go for the 100T, (for the extra headroom and higher door) but all the Tempest brolly's are a good choice.
