Looking to have a couple of damaged rings replace on two of my rods, does anyone know anyone in the Liverpool area that would do it for me I've tried Harrison's but they don't want to know unless it's one of there's rods ?

Ask in your local tackle shop they usually have someone for repairs , I did rod repairs for 7 shops in west lancs/merseyside, I would do it for you if i had,nt moved 250 miles up the road.

Dont think he does rebuilds or repairs, but he will likely know someone nearby that will so definitely worth a try

Kev does,nt do repairs or refurbs anymore , its really not worth the hassle for him as he is always so busy .

He is based in Manchester....
I have never used him so cannot say how good he is,

May be a bit of a hike but Bobco in Leeds defo do rod repairs, they sorted a tip eye i bust a few years ago. Not sure if they are open though

I need to replace the tip eye on my 9ft sonik xtrator and also the first eye on the tip section of my 12ft century fmj, the rings themselves are fine it's actually the inside part of the ring that is missing on the sonik xtractor and is cracked on the fmj .

Unfortunately you can't replace the centre's or at least I've never been able to,The tip ring just warm the original with a lighter it should just twist off guides and blanks should be able to source a replacement , then just glue a replacement on with epoxy. Century will supply spare rings you can purchase the from there online shop I think the FMJs were charcoal whipping thread I've also purchased that direct too, sadly I'm too far away I class myself as a hobby rod builder most syndicates have a member who does repairs to item's
