Torn between these 2 waders could anyone give me there thoughts on them either the fox chunk waders or vass waders. I'm a size 8 but I'm not tall. I'm 5,6 5,7 average build. so guys any input will be much less appreciated tia

I'm 6.2 and have the Vass waders for a couple of years now. Can't fault them!

Never used the Fox but three years in with the Vaas kit. Good gear, no complaints.

Size 42 Ocean waders would be perfect for you. Get them from Mainwarings. £90 plus postage. My first pair lasted me 25 years. I only binned them when I managed to cut through them with a weed cutter on a work party.

I currently have the ocean ones but they have more holes in them than my dartboard in the shed lol also done on workparty lol

Vass specialise in waders and have done for years - pretty much industry standard these days,

Fox will be buying them from a factory somewhere and slapping their badge on.

I know which I would choose.

I have Fox and they developed a leak on the welly join after a couple of months which needed sealing. I find them cold when the waters cold and the welly part seems soft and compresses hurting my feet after half hour in the lake.

Apart from that they're alright

I like the vass with shorter boots (7000 I think) as find em easier to get on. I use em mostly for wading and around rocky marks and find em hard wearing

Neither.

Fishingwaders.com are used in the industrial sector. Mine are 7 years old and show slight signs of wear.

No shoulders is the new one shoulder, higher increased risk of getting a wet arse give +10 carpiness over out of date one shoulder shots

I've always wondered how many sets of spare clothes these guys who do the in the water shots need to take with them. Especially in the cold wet weather.

I know nothing about the Fox waders, but I do know that there are different grades of the Vass and Ocean ones. You really need to know which ones you're comparing.
Personally I've had both Vass and Ocean in the heavier grade without issue.

Same mate, everytime i go into the water to land a fish, i end up with water flowing into them over the top, and thats standing up straight, not bending over
