Will be moving to the Godmanchester area in 5 months ish looking for a lake in the area that I can fish from a boat I'm willing to travel a little way any help welcome pm if you prefer not knowing the area particularly well leaves me a bit lost I've done some searching on the net but not having much luck thanks In advance

no boats on ferry chap but yes on fen. fens fished well the past couple of seasons. ferry is ferry, head f**k of a place
proper waters though not many can stick it...

yep. was one of the reason I pulled off and went over to st ives. He put around 25 into all the lakes, fen ferry and swavesey! didn't need to as they have the reserves to fish and move fish over during the summer when RSPB allow it. there all still in ferry if you can look past the fact theres 25 young wrong un mouths in the way

From what Gary told me, Fen just got the 5. 1 of them being 36lb spawned out.

They have been stocking fish from the reserves for years mate. Limited number of member are allowed to fish the reserves around july - oct each year. any fish caught are then moved to fen and ferry, more so ferry.
Gary stocked all three lakes with croat stockies early this year think it was January, 25 in each all high singles / low doubles. hence the uproar on social media about it...

It baffled everyone, they didn't even need to buy any from anywhere. They had the wild reserves on owned by the rspb on the same complex to move fish from. True wild English carp, some of the best around!
