well got trouble with my car so no fishing till is fixed
but here are a couple of pics to give you an idea its a bit low as most people have mentioned but to me its no biggy as its for river fishing where I dont spend much time in it just to sleep in really loads of coverage with my compact bed I can sit on my bed and my legs are fully covered under the brolly
and with optional front its going to be brilliant in bad weather when TFT finally send it that is
plenty of headroom for me Im 5ft 8" its not the right groundsheet just an old one for pictures

yes I measure it as I was shocked at how long it is just a smidgin under 6 ft long

Set mine up for the first time yesterday Gerry, something seems off on the setting out of the spokes as the one once up distorts and bends I noticed the guy in the video does the same, I have emailed WW but no reply as yet.

I had a response from Wychwood Gerry regarding the brolly spokes and he assured me it is ok and as it should be as it is a seven spoke/rib design that looks unconventional at the Boss, (still not convinced) but he assured me it is fine.

Pack down size without measuring which I can when I get home later is approximately 1400/1500mm in length the bag is about 250x250 in width and height, certainly plenty of room in the bag I'm not fighting to get it back in there along with the support bars, clear door panel, ground sheet and pegs.

Paul it is on the one spoke in my opinion as well, when you see it up close it just looks wrong, the boss has eight slots which seven are for the spokes and the other is where they have twisted the steel wire around the boss and tucked it in so as not to damage anything but it looks like this should of been swapped over, I noticed the lads in Gerrys linked video looked the same I posted it to the wychwood FB page in the Tactical brolly post and the response they gave on there they said it looks strange as it is a 7 rib brolly but is perfectly fine.

I still havent got my front or groundsheet TFT said Tuffnels said it was delivered yesterday ? but of course it wasnt too me !!
however I do have the clear door and I reckon this will have to be changed so it can letterbox ????

Wychwood said the clear doors will work Gerry its the infill panel thats wrong as in it doesn't have the 4no two way zips the clear panel only needs the two zips.
I've got a feeling all this first batch of zip in panels are wrong as they said they are ordering 100 new ones and having them air freighted as soon as they're ready they will send them out.

Just an update Wychwood emailed me yesterday regarding the issue with the front infill panel not having the double zips for letterboxing the door they now have the new correct ones in, just had to send a contact and proof of purchase emailed back within minutes to say it will be with me Friday/Monday so no complaints from me kept to their word cannot fault them and thankfully the weather hasn't even turned that bad yet.

Looking at the position of the spokes in conjunction with the taped seam on the material it definitely needs to be moved to the left on the upper and lower spoke fixings on the central boss deffo not correct

I recently used mine for a 48 hour session
and one thing to bear in mind the front porch support bar clips onto those 2 ribs
I experienced a storm on the second night it rained most of the night and proper torrential rain for 2 of the hours the kinda rain thats like rods and you cant see thru it the Brolly was exceptional rock solid and 100% dry gets a 10 out of 10 from me

Defo being talked round to getting myself one in the new year!!
Does it pack down fairly slim, I have a Thinking anglers quiver my current brolly fits in, any ideas if this would fit?

Just the brolly I would imagine it should it wraps up pretty tight anyway then you have a snap catch strap sewn to the rear rib so can compress it fairly tight, as it goes on my barrow I leave all mine in the bag supplied as I take the ground sheet, zip on infill, zip on door, pegs and tension bar, whether it all comes out the bag is dependant on the weather but it all fits all in the same bag with plenty of room which is handy, used it on a few occasions now and have to say I really like it.

Now your asking, without going to measure it I don't have a clue. It's an outside pocket that it fits in. Currently have a fast and light mk1 that goes in on its own and poles, pegs, are stored in other pockets and in the barrow bag.
As long as it wraps up tight like you've said it does then I'm sure it'll fit no problems in it's own

at last mine arrived Thursday
wont have chance to try it for a bit though but t least I have everything now and even reckon the Cyprinus 55" brolly wrap will possibly fit it too !

GOOD news
........................and BAD NEWS 
1st the GOOD !! the new front that arrived Thursday is now letterbox no problems
2nd the BAD !!! the clear door wont fit
the reason is only one end of the zip on the clear door has a male end and to fit it needs a male end on both ends of the zip

are you are forgetting a thing called Covid ?
these shelters were held up in China when production stopped then there were various dates when they were due to arrive but they never arrived ! ( due to covid)
so not really Wychwoods fault more Covids !!!
and you had people like ME who were jumping up and down as I had a pre ordered and paid in full !
so full credit to Wychwood they rushed the Brollys and fronts out to customers as soon as they arrived
NOT KNOWING that the company that made the fronts had cocked up and put the wrong zips on meaning you could not letterbox the door
Wychwood as soon as they found out recalled all the shops stock and told everyone that had received the front to keep it and they would send the new correct fronts out in about a months time as they were going to get them made as fast as possible and shipped by air instead of the normal 6 weeks it would have taken by boat cant get much better than that !
and yes I received my new front within the month and its wonderful have been out in a 48 session and a storm with a night of proper rain it was perfect
but I had already bought the optional extra clear door that has now been replaced
the groundsheet is held in by elasticated toggles thats so much better than crappy velcro
I loved the Wychwood 50" MHR brolly that this new 55" replaced and with the rear vents zip on fronts normal or Mozzie and not at pull your pants down prices either £29 for the front
lovely wide door its a massive improvement and I bloody love it even though it is a bit low

the Samples that were perfect and displayed in the video at the trade show last Jan or Feb cant remember now the exact date and due for release in the spring
had Covid not happened they would have GOT the shipment in plenty of time to check them and realise the factory that made the front had been made with the wrong zip and Wychwood would of had plenty of time to get them made again SIMPLES ?
And as I previously explained the front could not letterbox so obviously the clear door did fit it but same problem as the normal door it could not letterbox
but its all sorted now and new fronts etc are in stock and AND my mine have now been replaced
it was just a hiccup that was made worse by covid and possible the wrong fronts would never have made it out the door
as it happened apparently it was only about 4 or 5 and rectified in the fastest possible time
glad your happy with your tempest I too have a Tempest BIVVY for lakes great shelter nice rear vents zip off front perfect (too big for my river pegs)
but to me the Wychwood Tactical Brolly with rear vents and zip on front options is the perfect shelter for the river fishing I do far superior to anything else in its size IMHO

yes but!
if I had to pick faults it would be its very low but that does not bother me on the river
as of course unlike Carp fishing where you can spend long periods of time in your shelter I only fish either the night or the day depending on the swim
and work at it recasting all the time sitting under a spare 45" brolly right next to the rods then after around 10 to 12 hours Im exhausted so I reel the rods in and jump in the bag and sleep normally 6 to 9 hours I have so far only managed one 48 hour session the second night a big storm where it rained most of the night and from 02.30 till 04.30 it was stair rods type rain it sent the barbel nuts and had to fish just one rod because of double hook ups
I am please to report the Brolly was superb rock solid I always use a groundsheet had there been even one drip I would have seen it dry as a bone unlike me lol
