Hi everyone. Bit of a novice at carp fishing and not fished for 3 years or so now, all the gear I had previously I sourced from a local tip for free but since I moved area no longer have the tacle I had. If possible can you please advise on what rods to purchase and reels on a budget. Thanks in advance for any info

You could do worse than check out the classified section on here mate. Always a fair amount of decent gear and some genuine blokes who won't rip you off....

Hi, mate as mentioned look at the classified on here if you are after 2nd hand stuff. TBH I'm not a tackle tart and find the diawa black widow range more than up to the job to be honest.
As for reels depends on what fishing your doing but you can pick up a decent 2nd hand reel just get it serviced or again you can get a decent Shimano reel or diawa sub 60 quid.
Stay clear though as you know of the bundled kits from certain major outlets..

Only looking to about 150 on reels and rods. Just want to get back out there for now and will upgrade as time goes on.

Oh I don't know ... a quick look through there will at least give an idea of what's a fair price for stuff.
Maybe even an opportunity to get some more detailed user information on some rods and reels from a friendly carp forum member.

Sonik used to do a rod and reel combi deal or look on a few tackleshop websites as some do combi deals that they put together too
