I'm looking to change my credit card to one of these ones where you get o present interest and so on for 6 months and so on . What ones who is you guys recommend

Use a comparison site.......most are doing 20 months 0% interest on balance transfers and purchases within the first 60 day's.......

Go with Chairman Mal's recommendation, I've used that site for years, haven't paid a penny in interest on a CC for over 12 years now.
Using the same site join the credit club, once joined it will tell you which cards you will and wont get and only leaves soft searches on your credit files. https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/creditclub/
M&S and Sainsbury's are best at the mo with 20 months of 0% spending if you qualify, PM if you need any help

6 months is crap. Theres one out there with 30 months interest free if you meet there criteria.

Also something to bare in mind is if you do a balance transfer don't most card providers charge a flat rate percentage fee? Like 2 or 3%, I haven't done it since the noughties so it might be more competitive these days

Yep usually a percentage for balance transfers. You can get better deals depending on the length of term of the 0% interest and on your credit score too I believe.
That website is ace for the best deals on loaf's of stuff and you can sign up for a free regular experian credit check.

My mrs had one from Lloyds bank with 36months to pay
Divide it into 35 monthly payments and pay it off 1month early so no charges at the end of it
And pay it by direct debit
Do not miss a payment or they will rip you for interest charges
Still can't work out to this day how she racked it up to need to do this...

I just got my credit report update from the experience link on the Martin Lewis site. 999 out of 999! Going to take a photo of it to take to the bank!

Experian, Equifax, Karma etc credit score numbers mean nothing, every lender uses their own way of scoring based on the actual report.
I also have the meaningless 999
