Looking for a bit of help.
After many years of making my own baits based on the a high percentage of fishmeal and quality milk proteins and birdseed this year I wont be able to make my own due to time restraints due to work and family commitments. I'm not looking for an all season type of bait but a frozen readymade based on the same principle that I will be using during summer/autumn as in winter I only use maggots and corn and high attract singles. Price is not an issue I'm looking for quality over quantity. Any help would be most appreciated

If price isnt a issue i dont think they come much better than John Bakers Bio Shellfish. Drop him an email and discuss your requirements, hes very helpful

As already mentioned John Baker. Been using his stuff for 15 years and to the best of my knowledge the quality has never changed

Yeah I used to use elite baits about 20 years ago as well before I then decided to start making my own. I used to love the smokey mackerel and had my first 30 on them many moons ago lol

Yes smokey was a fantastic bait, better than the cream cracker i found although many seemed to prefer the cream. I started using JB but got fed up of rolling my own (he didnt have a rolling service then) so i moved onto Elite i used to collect if from Ollies house then i moved away but you got me thinking now, I may look at getting some more.

I used to pick it up direct from ollie as well and always found the smokey mack a take anywhere bait but my old man would always swear by the cream cracker as he had his first 50 in france on them from etang de margot.

If you dont mind paying for the privilege then maybe blakes hnv pro might fit the bill. It was designed to use the absolute best quality ingredients for people who dont mind paying for it. Message keeperboy on here for more info.

I've not used it personally but I've seen A LOT of people on here vouch for ABS and I think their top fishmeal is the Hydra K.

May want to speak to someone who uses it first though.

Would be worth speaking with Spencer at Aqua baits about what you are looking for.
High quality baits, some with a similar sounding make up to your homemades so would be an interesting conversation if nothing else.

I did have a look at the pro hnv and looks a good bait but its make up is not like what I make myself as I like to have between 40 - 45% fishmeal, 25% milks which include acid casein, wpc 80, lactalbumen, calcium caseinate and a bit of lamlac and then a mixture of red factor, nectarblend and clo in my baits . I know I cant get exactly what I do myself but have always used nutrabaits BFM as a guide to do a proper old school fishmeal

Asylum Baits receptor marine could be what you are after. Very high quality and used by some very good anglers on the quiet. Kenny Gates is the man behind it, a very knowledgeable and nice bloke with it. Give him a ring, I'm sure he will help you out. He's proper old school, doesn't do FB or publicity but he makes blinding bait. Kevin Ellis had done a video recently and previously about Asylum. Check it out. This is not an advert btw. I don't know the guy but I am looking to use one of his bits this winter.

Just to add - after speaking at length with Dave Moore about his BFM mix the only one that is the original is the one rolled by Rollin Baits. The version that Nutrabaits sell is missing a particular ingredient and the supplier of that ingredient only supply Rollin Baits in the UK and no one else.

Hydra K smashes it. Total confidence all the time, I wouldn't be without it now. As long as you don't want it preserved because ABS don't do a shelf life version I don't think. But would highly recommend. Or speak to Geoff to make your own custom bait. 👍👍👍

Indeed. Hydra K really is the best bait I've ever used. Total confidence in any of ABS's baits. What Geoff doesn't know about bait isn't worth knowing imo.
Plan B and the i bait especially are absolute stonkers too.
