Firstly I know this has been asked a million times before and apologise for the repetitive question . I've been out the fishing game for a while , I'm looking to spool my reels up with 20lb Flurocarbon , what is the best one to use ? I don't worry about casting with it as I drop bait from a boat sometimes 150 plus yards.
I use tiger line tough and durable never had a problem with it mate
Be careful of it springing off the reel when boating out especially if your rowing it can still be a complete pain in the arse.

I couldn't say what is the best but I have used x line 17lb extensively for the last ten years and rate it very highly.

Think a lot of people are using the Gardner stuff now and rate it. I used tiger line for a while it sunk like a brick knots ok as long as it's not a grinner. Got fed up with maintaining it after a while I was catching fish after dark and had a few frap ups and nightmares and couldn't take it no more

I am using the Berkeley and have been for a while. Think it's the best behaved of the fluoros I have tried. Don't fish from boats at these ranges. Seem to remember there being a post on another thread that the Berkeley is the easiest to use in this situation.

Been using rig marole flx flouro coated line for past 3 yrs. Excellent line, doesn't coil up, not wirey, sinks well and casts well.

Gardner Mirage or X-Line. - Mirage has the edge, but don't know if that can justify the extra cost.
I found that both need to be made to behave by using the Ken Townley method.
Once i had spooled up, i would them walk out about 100yds in a field. Tie to a post, go back to the rod, take up the slack, wrap it around my arm, and then take 2 large steps backwards. Stay like this for a couple of minutes. Take the line off of the post, and wind it back in through a cloth which should take out any twists. (No matter how i word this, it's never going to sound as eloquent as Mr T's explanation)
If you're doing this on your own it can mean a lot of walking.
Following this method, i found the line didn't keep jumping off the spools. I would repeat this a couple of time per season -

without shadow of doubt daiwa floorit is by far the best ive used. 1000m for £40!! casts loads better than other flouros and isnt half as springy. i'll never use any other brand

If it's the soft version you're talking about then I agree completely!
I've found it much better behaved than Tiger, XLine and the Fox stuff.

The first one (standard Floorit) was as naughty as the soft is well behaved!!!

I'm not sure to be honest.
It acts in every way the same as fluro, stretch, sinks etc but casts a lot better than anything else I've tried.
A mate of mine has had it on his spools for 2yrs and he fishes a lot so it's pretty durable too.

Just respooled my SS3s with the 20lb version- soaked for a good few hours in warm water and it went on like a dream, can't fault it

I would say go for Tiger line or Gardner Mirage Fluorocarbon Line got to be the top 2 lines
