This is not from my own personal experience of ownership. I have a couple of friends who work in a large tackle shop. They stock both. We had this conversation a while back in store. Both said they'd go for the Nash. Firstly because of the two they have had far fewer issues with the Nash and secondly because they reckoned prestige were an absolute disaster to deal with if you had an issue, and they'd often have to order replacement bits for brand new barrows as they'd fail a quality check before they could even get them out onto the shop floor.
Seeing them both side by side I think I'd have picked the Nash as well. It seems a more normal barrow size where as the carp porter looks quite big compared to it. I'm not sure how the Carp porter would fair on narrow paths.
There was a YouTube video showing a Nash barrow struggling to get up a fairly easy slope though last year. Not sure if that was a one of iffy one though.

Its well known that Video wasn't a true reflection, Ive only ever had power porters so can't comment on the Nash but my pal has one and has not had any issues.

Rob. You are amongst friends. No need to pretend to us that was two peoples gear. We won't judge you, much. We all know that was all yours for a single overnighter.

I have the Nash one & it goes up a slope fully loaded with both mine & my wife's gear no problems at all. Friends who have had the Carp Porter versions (both 12v & 24v) have all gone over to the Nash ones as they were sick of having to faff about with the wheel should the battery go flat. I only use the power on the Nash one when I need to & push it like a normal barrow on flat surfaces if I feel like my arms can handle it at the time (MS affects my grip and arm strength so handing to have the power as a backup just in case). My wife uses the power all the time when she is pushing it but I let her get away with it

I physically had a close look at both recently and went for the Nash one, used it a few times and impressed so far. For me the decision was based on the Nash one has been designed based on a power barrow where as the Carp Porter is based on adding a power pack to an existing barrow. The cabling from the battery runs through the frame on the Nash one to the handle, then you simply disconnect the cable to remove the handle. The CP one has the cables cable tied to the outside of the frame which are then unprotected and could get damaged. I have also found the battery power and recharge time to be excellent, the central location where the two small 12v batteries sit is good and helps with the loading and balance. The Nash one also folds down better if that matters, the front section I.e wheel of the Carp Porter weighs a tonne. Just my opinion but I would say the Nash one is a clear winner but sadly more expensive. Best go and take a look for yourself.

Its a pity that someone like Power Caddy dont have a go at coming up with one, with any luck someone will bring out something better in time as this will be a growing market.

I have to totally disagree with you there as far as the PP is concerned, the Mk6 24v anyway. I would say the wiring is all robust and good quality and yes lithium batteries would probably be a weight saving but that's a minor issue in the grand scheme of things

Ha Ha I wish I was that confident to take 2 Nets and Mats with me
With regards to the build I can only comment on the CP but I had a mk5 for a few years and never had any issues with it and I now have the mk7 24v, Ive always left them permanently set up and wheel it in and out the van.
When Im home I literally disconnect the battery and store that safely, then cover the power switch with a carrier bag as a precaution and then I throw the cover over it and it lives outside all year round and Ive not had any issues.
Im interested in which version of the Nash barrows you have the metro or the evo?
Surely you would just get the evo as its not much more but seems much larger load space

The Evo is huge I saw one of them and got the metro which is the same load are as a MK2 carp porter it just hasn't got the side rails which isn't a problem for me.

I have just purchased a power porter kit for my fat boy barrow and it's a good buy from my point of view after recent knee replacement surgery it has transformed my fishing so I can only say good things about them.

Sorry it's late,got it direct from Prestige,they had a show offer on for the Big One and I rang them after it was cancelled as they were advertising a power kit for mk11 fat boy barrows,good bit of kit just replaces standard wheel.
