Is there really life after death?.
Must admit i find death pretty frightening and don't know if you ever get to meet your past family at all.
Pretty daunting thread I suppose but anyone ever had a NDE and willing to post about it or thoughts on if they believe there is indeed an afterlife?.

I don't know much about life after death but I work in a job where I have talked with people who have died from heart failure, cardiac arrest and brought back with CPR and after a couple of them have said some really interesting stories.
If it's just a chemical reaction in the brain or something else who knows.
Watch the Robert Redford film where he proves life after death really exists, can't think of the name of it.

Providing we don't get cremated the carcass we lug about will ensure life continues. Wether it's bacteria, insects, plants, animals or anything else that gets access to it; I don't believe we carry on in any way..

With and ex i went to a spiritualist once who after she had spoken to the ex offered to help me. She described a person overlooking and watching out for me. She described him as being in uniform and had pilots wings on his chest, but he was in green not blue. I dismissed this as neither I or my family had any connection with the RAF or pilots, so i thought. A year after this I was chatting to my mother and explained what had happened and she went very quiet. She then went and got a box out of a cupboard. She then explained that her mother had remarried later in life after her father had died and the stepfather had a son who had died in Arnhem during the war. She produced a picture of this man who was wearing his green army uniform and pilot wings on his chest. He was a glider pilot. I still cant explain to this day how the spiritualist knew and my ex never knew about any of my families history as my mother never liked her!

My wife also went to see someone and was told the following.
The number 8 would be lucky for us. So everyday I looked through the morning papers to check the horse racing cards to see if the number 8 resembled anything to me/us in the hope I could win a few quid.
Anyway, my wife later had twins in which one was seriously ill from birth and touch and go if she survived but they revived her and was in hospital for 3 weeks and despite a brain injury did survive.
Our other twin was diagnosed at the age of 11 with a brain tumour and we were told by the specialist that she would be lucky to reach her teenage years but if she did then she would not see them out. Thankfully after operating ‘though couldn't remove all of the tumour due to it being in a tricky place' and several weeks of radiotherapy thankfully at 24 years of age and despite having not the best of health and virtually blind she's still with us to this day.
Date of birth of twins 8/8.

You should live in bentilee. Little fishing pool across fields from where I live, there's more chance of hooking a forensic diver than a fish.

Most of us would have elderly relatives that were involved in one of the two world wars, so likely have some connection to those in the armed forces. A lot of the spiritualist types employ a simple technique known as cold reading.
As for near death experiences, there is one theory, although it's certainly not well supported that the pineal gland excretes elevated amounts of DMT at death, and even for a few hours after, which is a very potent psychedelic.

For a laugh my miisus organised a girls night were a clairvoyant came round.

No mate this one is across Berryhill fields called tiddlers which is a tough little place to fish and where a double figure is an achievement.
I know the one you mean which is just a little further up on the left from where the gas ommeter used to be which has some very big carp in there and also double figure tench too. Think that one is called Mary something.
Edit - sorry it's called lady corner just off Dividy road on the left.
The last I've read it is owned by stoke on Trent city council and is run by Stone private angling club and so is the one further up on the right named parkhall pool.

Ghosts.
Here's one for you.
I was expecting a delivery once and had to go out with the wife so my daughter listened out for the delivery.
Anyhow, there she is in the outhouse with all the doors open so in case there was a knock on the door and when I came back in she told us that she had seen a young boy through the kitchen wearing a grey colour cap.
So, I ring my mate whose done a bit of ghost busting and he does some research on the area that I live and turns out there was a pit explosion ‘Ubberley I do believe' which killed many including youngsters that worked there. He printed off some photos and amazingly there were the children who had grey coloured caps on exactly as described by my daughter what she had seen.

My elderly next door neighbour went to a medium after her husband died, she came back full of joy and now reckons she sees and talks to Les, if it makes her happy then let it be it isn't doing her any harm, as for the famous mediums I watched that Derek Ancora once and he said to this bloke I'm getting the letter J coming from your direction, does it mean anything to you, the bloke said No, so Derek said not a James or a John, the bloke said No definitely, with that a woman about 5 spaces away said I've lost my Aunt Joan recently, and Ancora went yes it's her it's her it's your Aunt Joan 😂😂😂
