Morning, can someone please tell me whats the difference between the different models and history?
They are all Nash Nevilles with Nash logo?
How many models are available?
Why does my set have a small black union jack?

If I remember correctly there was only one Stainless Nash "Neville" alarm but some people may have had theirs converted by one of the 3rd party custom alarm companies (hence the Union Flag). The main difference between the Nash stainless alarms & the 100% Stainless Steve Neville alarms was that one of them had two black plastic "pads" to set the rod on to & the other version didn't (I am sure that the Nash Stainless Alarms had the plastic bits), & the Nash "ears" were longer than the 100% Neville ones.
The best person to speak to other than Steve Neville himself would be to look up "Spencer Humble" on social media & ask him as he collects alarms & for sure has both Nash & Steve Neville stainless alarms in his collection.

The Nash stainless had the black plastic pads. They were useless, all mine got ripped off the alarm by the line snagging under the edge of them especially when you had a run and could not free the line as it was that tight. I still use them to this day and one day, I plan on replacing the pads with some tubing or foam or maybe a bead of sealant etc.

Main visual difference are the much higher snagears on the Nash version.

Sorry to dig up this old thread bit I have a set of these nash neville alarms which I've had since I was 14 years old and I still use to this day. They still work perfectly with attx receiver and dongles. Does anyone know what they are worth as seen some silly prices on eBay. Not really looking to sell just curios.

See them going from £160 up per head now. Managed to find a bloke who would sell, asked me £225 per head, he might not have liked me or purposefully tried to make a buck out of me. I would pay it if it was from a reliable seller or a tackle shop I felt comfortable with....
Might be worthwhile digging into the net to find what they price or take them into a tackle shop and ask what they think....

Yeah 160 up per alarm sounds about right in terms of what I'm seeing. Like I said couldn't bring myself to sell them anyway as I love the look of them and they keep on going even after all this time. Even if alarms have moved on massively and the nash nevs weigh a ton, nothing beats the sound and look of them for me.

I remember looking at a set at the tackle box, end of line, or at trade in, £50 per head.
Look nice, but Christ, built to last, but weigh a ton. Not for me.

I reckon that must have been some time ago as value seems to have sky rocketed the past few years. I guess like anything the older they get the less there are knocking about and the value goes up. They would defo kill you if dropped on ya from a height

If the nash ones fetch so much what are three genuine mint as new nev ones worth.
The reason they are now commanding high prices is due to the versatility of them with 3rd party upgrades.
True internal radio transmitters, 3 way switching, underlit rollers, differing tone, volume, sensitivity, extended range, vibration mode and a changeable led reciever are now achieveable in an armoured shell which happens to look good. And a simplistic operation - fish picks up bait and they go beep. Fish doesn't pick up bait and they don't go beep. More than happy to sit in the rain too 👍

At one stage I had 23 nash / neville stainless alarms and I also have 5 of the green versions ....
There was a difference , to my knowledge (please correct me if i am wrong) the 1st batch that came out were more of a brushed steel finish with a one way switch without the nash logo , the 2nd phase alarms were a polished steel version with a one way switch and a nash logo on the speaker , the 3rd phase of alarms were a polished steel alarm with a 2 way switch and nash logo on the speaker all alarms had the little black rod protectors on the ears .... I sold 6 alarms of the brushed steel version as I preferred the look of the polished finish ...
