Very tempted to buy some fox alarms, is there actually much difference between the 3 alarms? yes the price should reflect this but is this actually a good indicator with these alarms

The RX+ is a lot more sensitive than the NTXR (MM wise to trigger movement), see various YouTube reviews 👍
I'm not sure there's a point in the NTXR now the RX+ is about.

I've had all 3 sets of the alarms mentioned and am now currently using the RX+ I liking them more due to the new updated features on them and have found the battery life to be better on the RX + recivcer than the time ther 2 models

Just get a second hand set of NXR's they do everything you want and how many of you use any other colour than blue? I also fancy the RX but I'd still only use blue and probably only the 2 most sensitive settings so what's the point

I had 2 loved them had to sell when I went to 3 rods as couldn't find a single 1 anywhere for sale! Got mxr now but will eventually get some ntxr especially as the rx are out now so ntxr will be cheaper

The Rx plus seems to have a much better battery life than the Ntxr's as well as a few other improvements.

Have they sorted out the teething problems with the RX+? There were some regretting having sold their Uber reliable NTXR's a few months ago...

The reciever has better features too.I did not like the look of the reciever at first but the lights going all the way up and the bivvy light feature is very good.Also the leds dont seem as stupidly bright

I went from delkims to rx+ and I'm not convinced if I'm honest
It's nice to be able to change led colour but I do a lot of zig fishing and you can't beat the sensitivity of a delkim. I find roller wheel alarms a bit old in terms of technology
The rx+ receiver is ace tho and imo is the only thing that beats delkims. The alarms themselves are ok but no better

So have I, I didn't comment on Delks as it wasn't asked for in the original post, but I agree completely, I don't think you can compare the sensitivity of a vibro alarm (TXi) with a roller wheel.

Yes RX+ are very good alarms battery life is good in the recivcer

I had the NTXR's, only every changed the batteries at the start of the season, never had a problem with battery drain. Have the RX+ good battery life all round.

Just swapped my NTXrs for RX+ (not used yet) but never had any issues with battery life of the NTXr, think I changed them once in the 4 years I had them.

Having come from Delkims to the RX + ,id have to say the RX+ battery life is poor in comparison , I have to change mie every six months ,I do fish a lot of nights .
Whereas the Delkims would last several Years .
Other than that and the Orange light goes red when you activate night light , no complaints.

I use Duracell's in my Ntxr receiver and heads and get a decent amount of time out of them , probably change them once / twice a year

Sounds like it's not turning off properly if draining between sessions. Fox do a standard repair charge of £28 (that was a year or so ago so may have gone up) could be worth sending it to them explaining the problem.

Always been a Delkim man but just can't get on with the new TXD's and didn't want to go back to TXi's because of the crap receiver. So a switch to the dark side it was and I'm so glad I did, I absolutely love the RX+, zero complaints from me so far....
I've also started to notice more and more people are using Fox alarms, including some of the well-known anglers.........in fact there was one of the very high-profile Korda lads seen using Fox on his Instagram feed the other day.....

I like a good solid, on/off switch and a Tone, volume sensitivity....the TXD is Ok to set up but when you want to change something you end up wondering if you have messed the original settings up, switched the bloody thing off, affected the signal to the receiver etc etc......I just had very little confidence they were going to perform.
Smalljon is right, you will press something there will be beeps and flashes and you are never certain exactly what you have done........they have massively overcomplicated something very simple.

You wont have done anything to change any of the settings by just pushing a button and getting a beep. You have to hold buttons down for a period of time and they make a totally different sound when they go into setup mode so you cant accidentally put them into setup mode by pressing a button by mistake.
Ive always bought fox alarms as had some nightmares with my txi's playing up in the rain but i needed some alarms for my barbel fishing and i couldnt bring myself to buy the rx+ as they are huge hideous looking things so took a gamble on the new txi d and so far they have been spot on. I wasnt sure on the look of the delks in the photos but they look so much nicer in the flesh. It took me 5 mins to set them up in the house then you just control them like a normal alarm with the dials if needed so not complicated at all. Ive never seen the need to have changeable leds mind as even when i had my ntxrs they were always set to blue so just bought a blue set of delks.
Mind you the new wolf alarms looks quite nice just need to see how big they are, but i have a feeling they are going to be huge like the fox rx+

Txi-D seem complicated but once set up they are faultless. There is a Delkim app and the basics are all in one easy page if you are stuck wondering how to change something....so easy
Love the way you can use the Response wheel....loads better than the old sensitivity IMO (more adjustment)

Absolutely no need to whatsoever IMO.
Personally I don't want to worry about whether my alarms were working or not, I found myself going down to the TXd's to give them a little tweak every now and again to check, maybe that would have changed over time but I decided all I needed was a simple on/off switch, (not holding 2 or is it 3 buttons down simultaneously) an 8 range low/mid/high range tone, (not 64 tones) and a similar range sensitivity, (not beep speed or is it response?)....... coupled with high performance receiver and the RX plus gives me all that

As long as your happy and confident with the rx then thats all that matters really. Life would be pretty boring if everyone liked the same thing 👍🏻
