Nutrabaits 20% below. Get 5% at dna. Five star had an offer until 24/12(doesn't help much now, but one to watch). Poacher do deals from time to time so maybe check that periodically. Usually get some bank holiday deals in the spring.

Bait companies tend not to do Boxing Day sales, they do Black Fridays and some of them do early spring deals. Unless you get some shelfies from one of the tackle shops that has a sale on.

Although in theory the swapping out bit is almost appealing, the £100 extra cost is quite a bit.

There are other options out there that recharge far faster then these series anker ones

That 555 is almost 4 x the capacity of the 521 linked earlier in the thread, so roughly 3 to 3.5 ti es recharging a very average laptop at a guess.

I have a bluetti eb3a which is slightly higher capacity than the anker 521 and it recharged my very high powered laptop about 2 times ish

Double check the prices against another store before buying from Go Outdoors.

They permanently have 'sales' with very high discount. The reality is that they either inflate the original pricing, or they are flogging off a few bits of end of line tat with the high discount and the half decent stuff works out at around the same price as everyone else.

They also send enough emails to border on harassment.

Just a heads up about this item... I purchased one a couple of years ago. Used it for 3 weeks fishing in Europe during that time and was very good. I always stored it well, charged it every 3 months etc and now does not work at all. Completely dead. Since seen quite a few reviews where people are reporting the same kind of issue - so beware before parting with your cash - wish I'd only paid that amount for it, wouldn't feel quite so bad. 🙄

They could do with splitting the social from the bait for a start, not so keen on the social stuff, not into the 'stars', instant no watch from me.

I love my Fire Maple heat exchanger 0.7litre kettle
as it fits inside my pan and my bag of tea bags fit inside the kettle too

I have a few kettles but came to the conclusion why boil more water than you need ? this will make exactly 2 mugs OR in my case 1 mug and a splash to wash up thats plenty for me

Haha good news, I'm still keeping an eye on their 100w in and out to see if it works for my laptop or not (beast) but yes these are very very good and for the money it's crazy! For anyone interested they also often do deal vouchers on the 10k pack and twin 10k pack if they suit you more

Also just got my 4th one of these ones for now although will prob gift it as won't be using it for a while.

Enjoy Brazil Mark

They are amazing for me Andyman. The big difference with fast in and out for me, is I can charge an iPad or a MacBook Pro on fast charge while watching 4k video constantly. A normal small power bank without fast out simply cannot do this efficiently. The device uses more power than the bank can supply. The battery clock is always ticking down. If it reaches zero you are not watching anything else.

Your ones, with the dual fast charge in and out, with a type C out cable, they charge faster than the drain on the device battery while watching downloaded videos/films on a MacBook or iPad. It's like having a portable tiny leisure battery with you. On a long haul flight they are absolutely brilliant, much better than the planes USB power supply too which is often broken anyway. (I'm in Brazil right now).

£14 for them is robbery. I have three now and next time I see it i will buy more

Don't know why but I have my 4th one on the way from this mornings deal

I do know why, these are more convenient and more efficient at charging usb devices than using a power station using the inverter etc.

New bedchair time...
I have just received my Advanta Discovery CCX Straight 6 Bed Superlite from AD.
Very pleased, and only £63.99.
Weighs less than 7kg, roped around the edges so nice and firm.
Used with a SIM it will be fine.
It's basically the same (a couple of minor differences) as the Wychwood compact that costs £140.

I ordered two at £14 notes so £28 spent in total, I didn't really need them as I have a 20000mAH one already and a 78000mAH ridgemonkey pack for the larger items but as TC said yesterday peanuts for a 20000mAH power bank.
Gives me better options I suppose generally for a couple of nights my smaller 20000mAH pack just about does usually down to the last led of charge but two of them would be more than sufficient, I'll pack one in the fishing kit and one in the van for backup just in case, anything longer than a couple of nights I take the ridgemonkey anyway which I've never manage to completely empty in a week away fishing.

The the 50% off voucher is now gone. Amazon work like that don't they. They will only sell a certain amount at the silly price. Snooze and you lose.

Keep watching that page over the next week or so. They are already on sale at £28 reduced from £44.99. But then they will randomly have a 50% off that code as well. £14 I have paid for three now. I got one when Andyman posted a couple of weeks ago, but then the voucher disappeared. I looked earlier and the voucher was back. Got two more today.

The voucher will be there staring you in the face, you tick the box, you will not miss it.

They are very good indeed. You have to really watch the stated powers on the cheaper ones. But this is def 2000 mAh I gave it a good test. It’s the size difference as well. This photo is it next to a 2000mAh Rav Power. That has fast out, but not in. Big size difference.

I have ordered another on a family members Amazon account too, so I have three now too. Kids can have all my old ones. Got three of these for less than I paid for that one RavPower!

Nice one Andyman. I already have loads of the older charging banks. Some have fast in, some fast out, but none both. I got one for £14 last time which is buttons for these. Was so impressed, I have been waiting for them to go back on offer again. They are back with the 50% voucher for £14 today and I just purchased another.

For iPads etc they are the absolute kiddie. Thank you.

AD have a “black ticket” sale on at the moment with certain items heavily reduced.

I’ve just ordered a Bushwhacker pro for £139.99 which worked out at 38% off rrp and £20 cheaper than any I’ve seen second hand.

I know there are various threads for aftermarket electric motor Barrow conversions but TFT have the Nash power barrow in the sale for £469.99 obviously this only has the 150w motor not 300w like the aftermarket jobbies but at that price your getting a full motorized barrow not just a wheel kit which are nearly as much to buy at around £400.

I have bought one recently and it works well enough for what I need, I adapted my carp porter rear wheels to fit which makes it a doddle

@ Baitman cheers Dave great idea storing the legs !!

when I bought mine
I went on ebay and found a seller of galvanized metal discs that supplied any diameter and asked if I bought 2 could they cut a hole in the centre of them ? for the spirit. level thing

they said yes no problem what diameter and it would not be an extra charge too ! so I got a big one and a slightly smaller one
I drilled the 3 holes needed one I fitted with BA nuts and bolts that the legs of my favourite Primus Gravity stove legs just drop on and is rock solid so can use a ridge monkey toaster with complete stability
the other disc is larger and takes any stove including my Trangia`s or Coleman etc
I am not too good at the moment but as soon as Im well enough I will dig it out and post up some pics

It's gone again.

It's fairly regularly got a voucher, if you're in no rush hold on and randomly look. They've been silly 10 or 15% 30% 40% and then often 50% like twice in the last week ish.

Stove stand arrived today.
It's slightly too small for my bulin stove with the legs fully extended but I can just leave them in a bit. At some point I will find a metal tin lid about an inch wider and drill 3 holes to locate the legs.

20231024-182330

It's a shame there is nowhere convenient to store the legs... perfect.

I do like the simplicity of that design and your solution too Gerry. I had thought of doing the same thing years ago with a MSR Trillium base but couldn't justify the cost, still can't!

I have the 25,27 and mini plus lots of different spirit burners
I have been using them for donkeys but the banks of the Tidal Trent are the reason I bought the leveling device in 2016

Getting it all level is easy to do with the Trangia as the burner (fuel or gas) is built into and as one with the pan stand and the wind shield surround. The burner will always be perpendicular to the pan or kettle base. If the ground is uneven a twig or two under the base in the correct position sorts it.

As a Trangia owner I’m sure you already know this OG. If there was any benefit to one of these adjustable pot stands with a Trangia then they would be available as part of the kit. Those Swede’s ain’t daft and they certainly don’t only cook on level ground.

Re the windshield. Can't see me needing more than 2cm for levelling, 2cm for Steady Rig base and my stove is 9cm high, around 13cm total, coincidentally same height as that stove base. I already use a half height shield at 15 cm (off memory), I do have a standard 1 somewhere too but prefer not to use it (wind).

Sorry, only just seen your Q.

My 2 stoves have small triangular feet with holes in them, I think I'm going to drill the base and put some pegs in so they lock the feet into place. My stoves are tri leg and share the same 120 deg angle as the supports on the steady rig. Both my stoves are also 17cm circ on the feet so fit nicely. Only problem is 1 of them (Vega) has the gas pipe supported on the feet so it means I have to use the steady rigs legs at almost full height, not a problem as still quite low. I'm thinking of putting a pot support over the stove for added stability, the combo should add stability and I'm again wondering about chopping the pot stand legs and drilling the stand to take the legs, modding them as needed or just taking the legs off.

All overkill, probably not needed but its cheap as chips, keeping the grey matter ticking over and I like to fettle

A pot stand like this, 16x17cm so matches stove base nicely.

had one of these for a few years I went on ebay where you can buy round galvanised sheet metal disc`s of your specs ( I asked for a hole to be cut in the centre)
bought 2 one I fitted with ba nuts and bolts so my Primus gravity stove legs drop on the other one is big so I can put any size stove on used it all the time on the sloping banks of the Trent very handy bit of kit and a steal at that price !!

When I found out they existed I managed to speak with him on the phone. He said they cost too much in parts and time to make so he couldn't sell them cheap enough.
He said they were unavailable in this planetary system, but said if anywhere might have one it could be Johnson Ross. Five minutes later I got the last one!
I ended up selling it when I swit he'd to gas for what it cost me about 15 years later.

I think the screw thread was just using parts that were already made up, it's useless for the stove stand.
It did originally have little black plastic balls on the end of the stainless for feet.

Pity Steve Neville doesn't make them anymore.

The advantage to them was the screw thread in the centre for a bankstick - great for a brew when you were 20 yards from the bank in your chest waders in the reeds.

I tried to buy one almost 20 years ago from him. Spoke to him on the phone about it and he said he no longer had the templates he used to make them as they had been lost in a fire. As the demand for them was low he had no plans to re-introduce them.

Dug it out and it is exactly the same as Vossy’s 👍

Dimensions are:

Outside edge to outside edge ( less locking lugs) 175mm
Inside edge to inside edge ( first gap) 155mm
First groove 130mm
Second groove 110
Inner of second groove ( wedge fit 90mm)

With the lid I put on it was a was prone to sliding so used a small plumbers heat shield cloth cut to size. With the benefit of hindsight most modern day gas stoves don’t generate heat downward so not really required so a plastic lid would suffice if not too slippy 👍

Going off companies house it would appear it may be bankrupt or clearance stock at such a low price so once it’s gone it’s gone 👍

What's the diameter of the stove stand.
I saw Singlebleeps suggestion of using something to make a flat base for a bulin, so would like to find out if the legs would fit within the circumference.

Bought one of these quite some years ago after seeing a review in Carpworld, probably 10+ years ago so I bought one. It was around £15 back then so these ones are an absolute bargain.

Not used it for a few years as I fish off platforms on my syndi, but it’s still in the side pocket of my cooking bag for any time I end up on uneven banks where it’s invaluable 👍

Edit: Not sure if my older one has got a couple of extra rings? What I did do was find a metal tin lid ( paint tin lid) which fits in the grooves so you can also use it with a stove with fold out legs - Coleman, Bulin T4 etc.

ND2 large battery pack. There is a young lady on facey who makes these £110 inc postage .
Her f/b page Kinga's Freelinerunner . She says she might be able to make other boat battery packs .She sell the chargers ,a little unit to plug into battery to show charge level . Also a gadget that fits on to your rod then puts tension on your reel spool when driving your boat out . Her communications and delivery are excellent . I have nothing to do with her ,just came across her on f/b . If we can i feel we should help youngsters out .

I ordered that power pack Monday night and received it today. First impressions is it’s a nice little pack with 20,000mah. Got it on charge now and will use it for work and as a spare for my Ridgemonkey if that goes flat on a session. But for £15 posted that’s a proper bargain

There's a seller on ebay called "baileyjohnson", he sells Brand New Cyprinus stuff (think he used to have something to do with them originally before they closed). Contact him as he may have something that fits a Trakker bivvy.

I bought a trakker chair from him, mail order. It was damaged in the box. Very unlikely to be Tim's fault but he made such a song and dance about it that i decided that i wouldn't use them again. I'd rather spend an hour driving to johnson ross that faf about with EA

I had a disagreement over a couple packets of hooks where the RRP had gone down but he charged me the old price.
It may of only been a pound or two but it was a matter of principle to me, anyway he stuck to his guns and I'm still talking about it years later.

100% agree....used to spend a fortune with Tim at EA but had a disagreement with him complaining about me putting in a small order over 10 years ago and said I would never use them again....and haven't. Not that I imagine he gives a flying toss about the loss of my business....

I will never use England Angling again either.
They tucked me up on some bits after spending a fortune with them in the past.

They would not exchange so I went direct to the manufacturer in the end and they sorted it for me.

I always tell people to avoid them.
Tim is a complete tool!!

England angling are well off my list of suppliers.
I ordered a reel from them, but didn't get round to spooling it up for a few months. When I finally did, it was a much cheaper reel in the box.

I contacted them, but they didn't want to know.

I had been a customer for over a decade but will not be using them again.

Sure it'll be fine for a few tods, doesn't inspire confidence and the seat kinda just sits on rather than clipping in.

Solar Bow Lite Landing Net

Go Outdoors Members RRP £90ea / EXTRA10 at checkout

I ordered 2x AND had to pay an additional £5 as my membership had elapsed; for whatever reason after adding the EXTRA10 code I got £36 off the total RRP (which is 20% in reality) so with the additional £5 in the basket this took the total to £149 for the pair!

Maybe this algorithm error would work on any item that is simply duplicated (ie. order 2x of)?

Don't blame me if it doesn't work!

Anyone have a valid code for Bank Tackle please. Tried some older ones - BANK10, FISH10 - they're no longer valid.

Thanks in advance.

I've got quiet big calves but these are just baggy, i did get the shorter Armot boots so these may have been the reason.

Might interest someone

I just bought a pair of the Korda Kore combat boots on TFT for £44.99 in a mark down sale, around half price of most places I'll give them a go for that see how I get on with them, for some reason the size 9 & 10 are this price then the size 7&8 and 11&12 are at £39.99.

Same mate.. debated the spider but not quite enough room for me, plus do really like the thicker material.
Hopefully the 100 will be high enough for me, I think I should get away with it at 135h The 150 version would have been way too wide...

Unlike the rubbish Total Fishing Tackle sale, Angling4Less have a genuine sale on with their "normal" prices discounted.

I was going to get an Aqua baiting pole from TFT, but as stated by Rich and Joe, increasing the prices just before Christmas then discounting them to their "normal" prices is NOT a sale. So instead, I got a Nash Bushwhacker 15m one for £170 less 15% = £144 from A4L.

If anyone is after some rechargeable AA/AAA, the ikea ladda batteries are currently 3 for 2.

£7 a pack of 4 x 2450mah AA and £5 for a pack of 4 x 750mah AAA

If you're buying in store or collecting from store, do it in separate batches if buying a few of each as the discount comes off the cheapest. The £5 packs are taken off first even if you have 3 packs of £7 and only 1 of the cheaper.

No as she already purchased the scales for me and in her own words you don't need anymore fishing gear (God forbid my order of a new rod holdall and spod reel arrives whilst she is here today). Will ask her to try though when she finishes work and if doesn't work will remove my comment.

Edit she was here and took in my FedEx package, she was not impressed

Sorry. Missus got emailed the code from AD and it said it's valid until 28th November. Maybe it's only for specific target audience as I didn't get it myself and I don't need to order anything else at the moment to try it

Just check if it's aluminium, a lot of these bargain brand bedchairs and chairs are steel framed which comes with weight and corrosion issues.

Go outdoors are selling their ‘west lake’ bedchair for £79 in their Black Friday sale.

Does anyone know if this is the same as any branded bedchairs? I seem to recall some of these come out of the same factories as cyprinus and wychwood.

Just another case of a company rebadging stuff. I’m not sure what the shipping/ import costs would be from Ali Express although their site does say free shipping. I did ask carpology how much for the re badged version but they’ve not said yet.

Just watched a Carpology review for the new Wolf Powerstation 60+. Looks a very nice bit of kit but he didnt mention a price.

Link

Quick google search didnt find anything for the Powerstation but i did find this on Amazon, which is basically the same but minus the carp tax.

Link

Thoughts?

For any keyboard carpers out there "Ultimate Fishing Simulator" is on sale on Steam at 85% off - £2.24

You can also buy the newly released early access "Ultimate Fishing Simulator 2" and the original one for just over £10, about 65% off.

Not played this at all but looks like there is a variety of fishing types covered, reviews so far on steam are mixed. To play either of these your PC will need to be more powerful than a potato with low-medium gaming specs.

Ultimate Fishing Bundle on Steam
Sale ends 25th August.

not too sure why you're saying its not valid? this is their email to me recieved Tues

Just a quick update to all our customers to let you know that we've decided to extend our 20% OFF SALE until the 13th February. We kept getting asked as anglers who got paid at the end of January didn't want to miss out. We won't be letting it run any longer than the 13th and we'll take away the 20% OFF at midnight on the 13th Feb, so grab a deal while it lasts.

Two rod ali buzzer bars with locking collars. These are the 16mm diameter tube so will not bend and are super light.
The guy advertises a pair of 8" or 6" for £7.99 inc post, but i messaged him to ask if its ok to get one of each and he said its no problem.
Exceptional value for the money, i love them.

The 8" buzzer har only weights 72g, but thick ali tube so they wont bend.

I have just got a pair of Chubb stainless 3 rod buzzer bars for £16.99 inc post.

Very solid looking and because it's a stainless tube they are not quite as heavy as they look.
The front one is 15" and the rear is 13" and they can be fished with a single stick or goal post set up.
An absolute bargain.

They are excellent trousers, I have three pairs of black lined ones.... Wash the black ones on their own though!! I just followed your link to buy some, if they had not been black ones.

I have never known a pair of trousers attract lint like the black ones do. If you wash them with a green fishing hoodie... They will pretty much look green after one wash, so much lint will stick to them it's unreal. I've had grey and khaki ones in the past for years, but the black were on sale two winters ago when I was after some new ones.

Washing them on their own... Is a good option.

Actually there's a lot of good stuff in their OUTLET (sales) tab, I've just spent a few quid and bought a few bits so now I've got the stuff I wanted you can all knock yourselves out for the rest!

A lot of their stuff has a lifetime guarantee, you don't often see a company confident enough to offer that.

Hi, must of lost link.
Guessed this.

https://www.aliexpress.com/af/spomb-rocket.html?SearchText=spomb+rocket&d=y&initiative_id=SB_20190810141924&origin=n&catId=0&isViewCP=y&jump=afs&switch_new_app=y

Try searching with some of words in discriptions.
Then look for ones with diff size options to pick, 170mm, 148mm etc.
Should find other ones.

Bob

ps i select/ pay etc dollar or so to get air mail etc.
Normally lot quicker.

These are a bargain if you ask me. Decent storm pole/ longer Banksticks if you need rods in water or fish rivers etc. They also have some shorter ones and some with auger points if you search ‘taska bank sticks’ in eBay. These longer ones are £7 delivered. Edit. Just realised they have multibuy too. £6.50 each if you buy 4.

I seem to remember it being an amazon special that was identical to a more expensive branded model?

It's a fair point about recycling, however I cant think of anything I've purchased in the last 40 years that has come in a bucket. If paint pots were easier to open I would be set.

How is that cheap?
I've never paid for a bucket in over 45 years of fishing. Mine have all had paint, oil etc in. Save the planet, recycle.
EBay and vova are the places to go, ive just paid £1.20 For 25 hook stops, less than 1/2 price, got 20 line aligner things I think they are called for 99p.
Exactly the same as in the shops .

But it’s good for when someone posts a bargain price on something that you weren’t necessarily looking for

I honestly think its pointless ?
I mean if your after say a cheap bedchair you make a post asking where is the best place to buy one and you generally get lots of helpful answers

your hardly likely to start searching a best buy bargain thread on the off chance someone may have posted about one
