Like a bit of green day myself
Like a bit of green day myself
Been on a bit of a Stranglers bender recently (wonder what triggered that), also re-stumbled across 'Man With The Child In His Eyes' by Kate Bush the other day, absolutely sublime and she was 16 when she recorded it, wow!
Glad peeps have enjoyed the Heart version of Stairway. You might have noticed the drummer? He is Jason Bonham, Bonzo's son. I find it very moving at the end as the tune dies away to see him look upward to the sky, hoping Dad was watching. IMO John Henry was the finest rock drummer of the age, only Ginger Baker came close.
Chuffy: If you like Kate Bush give THIS a listen.
I have been a huge KB fan since Wuthering Heights and have several vinyls of hers.I was lucky enough to get tickets for her 'Before the Dawn' concert at the Hammersmith Apollo in2014 IMHO her masterpiece is the Hounds of Love/Ninth Wave album the latter being seven interconnecting songs joined in one continuous piece of music that tell the tale of a shipwrecked woman adrift on the open ocean. It is divine.
Long BBC documentary. Well worth an hours of your time.
There is a bit in the program where Kate tells the story of how she was 'discovered' by David Gilmore (Pink Floyd) and there is also a bit of chat with Gilmore himself.

a nice version
I quite like the placebo version but it's depressive at the best of times
Friday afternoon, early finish at work, beer in the fridge and ribs on the smoker and the sun is shining
I'm feeling good

Nice
Similar to me. Beers in the fridge and some of New Zealand's finest, ready to rock n roll. Spanish night for me. Tapas etc.
Just deciding what to do at the weekend. Was gonna go fishing but some bait ingredients have not arrived this week
I have other baits of course but after a walk down on Thursday night my water was getting pretty full, can't say I fancy that
Out on the Ducati one day this weekend me thinks instead

Now that is a Friday track
as is this
Scoz, all my tickets start June 16, I doubt I'll bother for myself till then but I'll take my boy soon to give the mrs a break.
I'd normally do a few day ticket socials this time of year but I don't fancy those venues right now

House bound, worst thing ever
Can't wait to get out. That's it, I'm gonna go through my gear, it's ready or not then
Edit - Well that was a good start to the evening. I had some artificial baits soaking in neat sweetener for a cray fish water I was fishing. Yep the lids come loose and soaked everything in the bottom of my rucksack
Time for some music me thinks
