Hang on so you all believe that China did this on purpose and as some form of punishment people should not buy Chinese products? When does the boycott stop? Same length as the boycott of German products because of the Nazis? Same boycott of the Americans over chemical warfare in Vietnam?
Funnily enough China have been sending aid to everywhere but the UK and America by the looks of it. Italy, Spain, Iran, etc. All have Chinese aid...
Maybe the NHS should stop importing all their PPE from China from now too?

Maybe if people (carp anglers being no exception) didn't replace the crap they bought every 5 minutes we wouldn't need the man power of a population 1.3 billion bigger than ours to make it all.
I don't remember many people that weren't tonguing the ringer of cyprinus and the other importers a few months back.. people were even ordering stuff before it touched our soil, let alone seen it.

Right about Cypri, same as Aqua and most of the rest, Chinese 🇨🇳
While ever they are exploiting their people, and that's what they are doing, they will never stop under cutting businesses. Couple this with our western lifestyle where everybody wants to own a house and earn 30k a year to suit our flash lifestyles British manufacturing has not got a chance
A company where I used to work employed 8 Chinese workers for the cost of one British worker. Now tell me we have a chance!
Couple this with them buying up most of the worlds natural resources in Africa, Australia, all over the world etc they have virtually monopolised the world. If there is ever a time to back an idiot like Trump this is it because otherwise they will rule the world
And as for support your local tackle shop, that will be Angling Direct will it. The same company who has monopolised the U.K. fishing shop market and bought most of the major competition out and will continue to do so. Wait while they have it all in their pocket and we a paying an absolute premium for Chinese crap!
They will also dictate who is selling tackle in the U.K. soon and who they are dealing with, think about it, if your not dealing with them your probably not at the races, or won't be moving forward

But it's not just the fishing community who have had enough it seems, my neighbour is into his enduro bikes, he was saying last night “F### the el-cheapo parts option, if it needs any parts from now one it has to be genuine KTM”
What's really peed everyone off (Inc me) is the swine's knew about the Corona virus many weeks before, but instead of putting the welfare of the world population first they put their own greed first - shut nothing down, did not stop travel, arrested the doctor who tried to warn the rest of the world – the Chinese hierarchy showed it's true colours!

How benevolent. It's impossible to impose a total boycott as the components in our devices are made there even if the product itself isn't.
The Chinese have been steadily influencing and buying up large swathes of nations for some time, this could get real.
But as long as consumerism at the right price is rife nothing will change. Perhaps Partridge can step up to the mark and provide the hooks we want to use and perhaps other brands will encourage that by stocking them. A little less profit orientation goes a long way. Money's nothing if you're not around to use it.
A country that treats its animals so appallingly deserves condemnation for that alone. A trade blockade might hurt them a little but that depends on how much the West depends on Chinese supply, it might turn around and bite us on the arse.

The Aussies are big on Australian made food and product, but are as flooded with Chinese imports as us.
This is also a nation with a high percentage of folk with short memories who claim the rights to vast stores of natural resources and insist that they as ‘Australians‘ have problems in their country caused only by indigenous people and immigrants
