In reply to Post #166 Quote... That's one of the best carp I've seen in years. Absolutely incredible.
Here's the very first time it was ever caught from that pit, by Ben. Fish is named after him. Ben was on the RMC forum Ian, old Thames angler. Looking at that fish & knowing it comes from a Thames floodplain pit, I'd put money on the fact that was a Thames carp originally. Might be wrong, but it really looks like a Thames one. Even down to the big scar on it's belly. Lots of old Thames ones get big scars on their belly from going over weirs in floods, or when they go over flooded banks into pits.
Ben never caught this on our hook baits. Just sharing his photo of its first ever capture.

In reply to Post #166 Same here Ian. It's got the lot. That fish has put on 6lb in the last six months too. Growing fast. I've got some other incredible fish to post from the same bloke, from the same pit.

In reply to Post #164 It certainly is Dave. Best mirror I have seen for a good while. It has size, comes from a very famous old venue & seems to be pretty much unknown to the masses. Gavin has caught some incredible fish on our hook baits. Says they have completely changed his angling. It's always the nicest compliment I get mate.
Alfie, Essex Manor, Red Cinnamon-S2

Jacko again. The carp this lad has caught on work over nighters this spring, from two different pits are simply insane. Johnson Ross PPPP-S2 (Peach, Pineapple, Plum & Pepper EO). He's also had five this week on the TackleBox Ming-GPB2.

Some real high grade. Gavin cradling a 53lb+ mirror & 49lb+ common from a very low stock Thames Valley pit. GPB1 13mm balanced over DeepFish freezers.
Best mirror I've seen for a while, where it's from makes it 10 x better. Threads on here recently asking about this pit. Here's the cream. That mirror is insane IMO.

This is the same Carl at Lac Du Premier last week. He tragically lost his carp fishing brother Ricky last Friday whilst there. Ricky's last words to him were "Go catch a 40 bruv". He done a bit better than that on the Fizz S2.
He only went to Linear today in the last post to clear his head. Ended up with a new PB. His brother would be so proud I'm sure. Fishing really can be the greatest healer sometimes

Carl, got some Fizz S2 from Johnson Ross. First time out with them in the UK, 47+ new PB, the big fully from Linear Manor Farm.
Well done Carl. That ecstatic smile is what carp fishing is all about.
