Hi gents,

Last time in the tackle shop I tried some Korda Boom and found it less stiff than I expected it to be. I am looking to create soms booms, but I wanted to know what you prefer for your booms: a material like Korda Boom (which to me is a bit like Amnesia) for a resetting rig but with some give or an out and out stiff material like Fox Ridigidy or Esp Bristle Filament? I have made a combi rig/boom from Fox Ridigidy and that is so stiff, it can press out the lightly hooked hook in the palm of my hand when you move towards the lead.

It all come down to personal preference but i wouldn't use a stiff bristle type material for a boom.

I Think the korda boom is stiffer than amnesia and sometimes a little to stiff for booms on some lake beds, my favorite is still clear amnesia, or a coated braid if i require a more abrasion resistant boom

Thanks for your reply. Matches my ideas and findings too, with the bristle filament. I will try some boom though, because I like it's color better than amnesia.
