Hi , ive just purchased some replacement felt washers for my ss2600 but they are dry , do i soak them in oil or smear reel grease on them ? Appreciate your thoughts

reel oil for felt washers-

with a glove put some oil on your fingers and gently smear the oil into the washer
Or as you lay them in the spool a couple of drops on each layer should be enough.
make sure they get a good coverage but not dripping

You can always remove any excess if they start swimming in it
