I use a deeper pro plus 2 from my boat which works perfect for what I want , the only thing lacking is the ability to mark a spot , does anyone know if this unit is able to store waypoints ? If not I was thinking a handled gps would do ,I've used them before, but, they work perfect on land to within a few feet , but on water they seem all over the shop . Any recommendations ?

For the money you won't go far wrong.
Has wass so make sure you enable it.

The difference between land and water is probably how you mark your waypoint.
