You know what, you might just like it. I'm up to date on it, the aerial fighter scenes are woeful and it is very Hollywood (says the wife, acting ott too) and stereotyped but I don't mind it

Maybe I've become so precondotioned to watching crap that something half decent will suffice, its better than a lot of other rubbish out there but BOB it is not.

The intro is only just longer than the outro and don't expect to skip the intro/rehash by pressing skip, oh no, they've wised up to that and added a bit after the skipped bit....why oh why.

I'm just getting old, almost deleted my YouTube app of the TV for the bloody adverts the other day. I wanted to watch 1min short, oh no, 59 sec of ads 1st, needless to say I switched it off

And no, I'm not paying to skip ads.

On looking it up there were lots of hits for "the real masters of the air" but yes, I agree, far too Hollywood and some of the CGI on the trailers is just awful.

a bit like all the movies on prime that have been made with inordinate amounts of hedge fund partners, I give it about 3 at the start and then turn off. Seems to be a lot of films being made like that at the moment, max return for minimum investment, my least fav being those on 1 set,,,grr!

Ive watched it countless times, incredible series.

masters of the air has just started on apple. however i dont believe in the characters, it feels a bit too hollywood.

not sure if MOA is different and isnt following the accounts of actual pilots?

Another tin box set owner

I caught mention of BOB in comparison with that new Masters of the Air on apple tv so thought I'd watch the trailer because of all the hype, I don't think it should be mentioned in the same sentence, there's CGI and then there's CGI, needless to say I wasn't impressed.
Anyone watching it, think it's good?

Great series, have the box set myself, brings a tear to my eye watching it, we will never know and hopefully never experience what they went through, true heroís

Incredible series

I also have the Pacific, not as good as BB but worth a watch. There is a new one out about the airforce. HBO series, very good

Caught a re run tonight on Sky Atlantic, watched the original run and have the box set in the tin box, but it struck me tonight that the old boys who were actually there and did the foreward in every episode are probably no more today.

Never forget.
